Gaston Memorial and the Gaston Ambulatory Surgery Center are using the latest in laser surgery technology to reduce recovery time and discomfort for area residents. Laser surgery requires smaller incisions, creates less scarring and often reduces treatment costs because of shorter stays in the hospital. For example, patients can undergo cataract surgery on an outpatient basis and recover in the comfort of their own homes. In the case of arthroscopic surgery, athletes heal much faster and are able to get back in the game more quickly. And, Gaston Memorial's skilled surgeons can use our Candela Laser to end the excruciating pain of kidney stones without resorting to the traditional major surgery at all. Our extensive laser surgery capabilities are further proof of why Gaston Memorial is a health care leader — and why you will always have the advanced care you need, right where you need it. == Gaston = / Memorial Far Advanced.
