bile visit from 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

"Helping - Your Child With
Reading," from 10:30-11:30 and 4-
5 p.m.; North School Talent Show
7 p.m.; Bethware Second Grades
on field trip to Catawba College.

birthday
Amanda Victoria Martin cele-
brated her second birthday January
31 at a family party at her home.
A decorated Barbie cake was
baked by her mother and cut and
served with refreshments.
Victoria's cousins, Taylor and
Tylor King, and a friend Hayden
Bridges of Bessemer City attended
the party along with family mem-
bers including her parents, Vance
and Rosemary King Martin J York,
SC and Vesta Bumgardner of
Kings Mountain.

Brittany Scruggs
is three years old
Brittany Scruggs, daughter of
Scott and Tammy Scruggs, cele-
brated her third birthday December
23.
Family and friends enjoyed a
Barney cake with ice cream and
party favors.
Brittany has two older brothers,
Brian, 8, and Mark, 6.
Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs.

Benefit planned for school
A card benefit and fashion
show for benefit of St. Michael's
School will be eld February 22
from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at St.
Michael's Parish on St. Michael's
Lane in Gastonia.
The $10 donation ticket also in-
cludes lunch, entertainment and
LaShea
door and card prizes.
Guests may choose their own
cards.
Eunice Cherry at 864-4716 has
tickets for the show.
Belk's will provide the fashions
and models for the event, open to
the public.
