The arca seniors recommended from National Merit Scholarship Qualifying test scores arc Hunter Corn, Adam Marshall and David McSwain of Crest High School; Meclanie Dixon and Becky Senter of Kings Mountain High School; and John Elliott and Rick Jackson of Shelby High School. A luncheon honoring the stu- dents will be held March 9 at North Lake Country Club in Shelby and will be attended by the students’ parents, the interview committee, school administrators and PPG of- ficials. He said the 1993 scholarship winner will be announced in the spring. Emmert said factors such as scholastic records principal's en- dorsements, motivation, leadership qualities and personality character- istics will be considered during the selection process. He said that the interview committee would include Kay Leager, Associate Director of Admission at N. C. State University; Suzanne Wasiolek, Dean for Student Life, Duke University; Dr. Joseph Lowman, Associate Professor of Psychology at UNC at Chapel Hill.
