At FMC Lithium Division

After a two-year effort, FMC Lithium Division has achieved certification under the ISO 9000 Quality Assurance System,
the first such certification in Gaston County. For a complex chemical business like FMC Lithium, making and selling
lithium products worldwide, certification has been no small accomplishment.
Developed by the International Organization for Standardization, the ISO standards have been adopted in more than 50
countries and are fast becoming a license to compete, first in Europe and soon all around the globe. The adoption of these
rigorous standards is bringing uniformity to the management of quality and removing barriers to international trade.
Through ISO 9002, everyone at FMC Lithium became actively involved in the philosophy and practice of total quality
management, continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. This certification is the result of individual commitment
amplified through teamwork and team action guided by the individual belief that Quality begins with me.
