Pine St., Blacksburg, SC - Mon.-Sat. 9-6 HOME FOR EASTER - Chad Baity, the seven-year-old West School student who has been hospitalized for 12 weeks, came home for a brief visit on Easter Sunday. Chad and his sister, Brooke, 3, are pictured outside Carolinas Medical Center. They spent part of their outing at Freedom Park. Chad decorated Easter eggs, played with a six foot rubber snake and enjoyed an indoor greenhouse his father brought him for his hospital room. Train hits car. Samuel Jimson, of 109 Adams Road, is a lucky man. He escaped injury Saturday night when a train collided with his car at 10:35 p.m. on the tracks at Herndon Access Road. Jimson told the N.C. Highway Patrol that he fell asleep at the wheel of his 1973 Ford Torino when it went over the tracks. He was cited for failing to stop for a train. "The crossing arms were down, man escapes injury so he would have had to maneuver around them," said Trooper R. M. Eudy. "The train's horns were go- ing and their lights were on at the time." The engineer saw Jimson's car and tried to stop before the 111-car Norfolk & Southern freight train hit the back driver's side of the car and spun it around. Jimson was taken to Kings Mountain Hospital for treatment.
