Oak Grove Baptist Church was the setting Saturday for the 2 p.m.
wedding of Beverly Dawn Bollinger and William Larry Stone Jr.
Rev. Ron A. Caulder officiated the ceremony for which the wedding
music was provided by Mrs. Sheri Folk of Shelby, vocalist; Mrs.
Annette Webster, organist, and Mrs. Marty Blanton of Kings Mountain,
pianist.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a formal
gown of white shantung featuring a sweetheart neckline and short puff
sleeves adorned with seed pearls and Alencon lace. The fitted bodice,
encrusted with hand-beaded re-embroidered Alencon lace, featured a
drop Basque waist and flowed into a full floor-length gown. The V-d
back, enhanced with a cluster of flowers at the waist, flowed into a semi-
cathedral train. Scalloped hand-beaded lace encircled the entire hemline.
She carried a bouquet of white rosebuds, baby's breath and greenery.
Tracey Britt of Shelby was maid of honor and bridesmaids were
Lyndi Stone, sister of the bridegroom; J. J. Wells and Keisha Wells, all
{of Kings Mountain, and Ashley Falls of Gastonia.
I" All the attendants wore tea-length gowns of royal blue taffeta en-
"hanced with pearls on the bodice. They carried a single long-stem white
rose with royal blue ribbon, greenery and baby's breath.
Ginny Mitchell of Greenville, SC and Lacey Pearson of Kings
Mountain were flower girls and Trey Williams of Kings Mountain was
ringbearer.
The bridegroom's father was best man.
Groomsmen were Kevin Jenkins, Barry Bumgardner, Robert Depew
and Dusty Mullinax, all of Kings Mountain.
The reception was hosted by the bride's parents after the ceremony in
the church fellowship hall.
The bridegroom's parents and Paul and Judy Scism hosted the re-
hearsal dinner Friday evening at the Scism home.
Mr. and Mrs. Larry Bollinger of Kings Mountain are parents of the

Speed-Norris
The engagement of Lauri Lee Speed of Shelby and Bryan Mitchell
Norris of Kings Mountain is announced by the bride-elect's parents,
Nancy Lee Hall of Murphy and Wilburn Thomas Speed II of LaCrosse,
Wisconsin.
Miss Speed is a 1984 graduate of Murphy High School and a 1986
graduate of Greenville, SC Technical College. She is employed by the
Cleveland County Department of Social Service.
The bridegroom-to-be, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Mitchell Norris
of Kings Mountain, is a 1981 graduate of Kings Mountain High School
and attended the University of South Carolina at Aiken and Gaston
College. He is employed by Hayward Pool Products in Kings Mountain.
The wedding will be an event of August 21.
Alecia Moore
six years old
Alecia Denise Moore, daughter
of Kevin and Karen Moore of
Shelby, celebrated her 6th birthday
on Wednesday, May 26.
Alecia also graduated from
kindergarten at Victory Christian
Academy in Gastonia the same
night. She celebrated with her
classmates at a reception after
graduation.
Alecia has a two-year-old sister
Keri, of Shelby, and half-sister,
Joanna, of Dallas.
She is the granddaughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Joe Harmon of Kings
Mountain and Mr. and Mrs.. Roy
