RAY LEWIS CHILCOTE (Amy Lefettie Green) reen-Chilcote Amy Lefettie Green and Ray Lewis Chilcote were married Juncl9 in a 10 a.m. double-ring ceremony in Midview Baptist Church. Rev. Paul Francis Lanicr III officiated. The bride was given in marriage by her brother-in-law, John Wayne Ward. The maid of honor was Loretta Webb. ; Bridesmaids were Sandra Carter, Lynn Thaxton and Lisa Leonard. The flower girls were the bride's nieces, Andrea Moon and Kristine Cowherd. Best man was the bridegroom's father. Groomsmen were Tom Chilcote, Micheal Taylor and Barry Howard. The ringbearer was the bride's nephew, Uriah Ward. The bride is the daughter of Frances L. Green of Kings Mountain and the late Oscar "Bud" Green Jr. She is a 1987 graduate of Kings Mountain High School and a 1991 graduate of East Carolina University. She is employed by Beaufort County School System as the Chair direc- tor of the Home Economics Department at Chocowinity High School. The bridegroom is the son of Master Gunnery Sergeant Ned Ray Chilcote and Norma Jean Chilcote. He is a 1987 graduate of Swansboro High School and a 1991 and 1993 graduate of East Carolina University. He is employed with the Department of Transportation as a Engineering Geologist. The newlyweds have returned from a wedding trip to Maine and are residing in Washington, N.C. MRS. RICHARD EDWARD DAVIS (Candace Nicole Carswell) Carswell-Davis Cliffside Baptist Church in Cliffside was the setting for the June 26 wedding uniting Candace Nicole Carswell and Richard Edward Davis. Rev. William A. Stroud officiated the ceremony for which the wed- ding music was presented by Holly Parris Jollay, pianist; Peggy Hamrick, organist; and Scott and Ann Haynes, soloists. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a formal beaded gown enhanced by straight fitting to the floor. She carried a bou- quet of fresh summer flowers. See Carswell, 3-B KM Lions Club to host banquet Kings Mountain Lions Club will host the 31-C awards/installation banquet Friday, July 16, at 7 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church. Installing officer is Lion William + Woolard, past international presi- dent. Lions in Gaston, Lincoln, Mecklenburg and Rutherford Counties will join Cleveland County Lions at the event. Tickets are $10.50 and may be obtained from Glenn Anderson, Box 502, Kings Mountain. Deadline for reservations is Friday. Andersons announce birth of Elizabeth Mr. and Mrs. Richard Anderson of Swannanoa announce the arrival of their second child, a daughter, Elizabeth Bailey Anderson, June 7, Memorial Mission Hospital in Asheville. She weighed 6 lbs. 15 ounces and was 19 inches long. She has an older brother, Richie, 5. Elizabeth is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Neu of Mint Hill and Mr. and Mrs. Ken Anderson of Kings Mountain and great-granddaughter of Paul Bailey of Charlotte.
