NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that the General Assembly of North Carolina, by Chapter 497, 1993 Session Laws of North Carolina, has called a State Election to be held in each county of the State of North Carolina on Tuesday, November 2, 1993, at which the question of the amendment to the Constitution permit- ting the General Assembly to enact general laws permitting. issuance of bonds without a referendum to finance public projects associated with private industrial and commercial economic development projects, with the bonds 10 be secured in whole or in part by the additional revenues from taxes levied on the incremental value of the proper- ty in the territorial arca will be submit- ted to the qualified voters of the State of North Carolina. The issuance of the bonds listed above has been authorized by said - Chapter 542, subject to a favorable vote of a majority of the qualified vot- crs of the the State who shall vote in said election on each bond question. The polls for said clection will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; pro- vided however, that in accordance with N.C.G.S. 163-2, in certain circum- stances, the County Board of Elections may permit the polls to remain open until 9:30 p.m. The deadline for unregistered voters to register in order to be eligible to vote in said election shall be Monday, October 11, 1993. Absentee ballots will be permitted in said election. Absentee ballots shall be available no later than Monday, September 13, 1993 from the voter's county board of elections.
