Cub Scout Pack 92 of Kings
Mountain recently celebrated the
birthday of Cub Scouting with
"The Blue and Gold Banquet." The
event was. held at the fellowship
hall of First Baptist Church, which
is the pack's sponsor.
The theme of this year's event
was "Under the Big Top." It was
filled with games, a magician/co-
median, clowns, songs, awards and
a hot dog dinner. Over 200 people
attended.
The Blue and Gold banquet is a
birthday dinner for the whole Cub

niversary of the Boy Scots of
America, The Boy Scouts was or-
ganized in February 1910, and the
Cub Scouts was organized 20 years
later in 1930 by Lord Baden-
Powell, His birthday is on
February 22.

Boheler, thanked the many compa-
nies who donated supplies and
food, and the many volunteers and
leaders who took time to make the
event a special time for the Scouts.
