Trinidad, as the guest artist. He
played with the Trinidad Tripol
Express and also with the Charlotte
Steel and String Band. He demon-
strated early steel and string in-
struments, including the drums,
and invited the class to participate
in playing the steel drums.

chemistry. He resides in Newport
News, Va.

show with such tunes as "Doin'

the kids and Wilson. Annie has
several solo parts and Frank and
the boys respond to "My Defenses
are Down."
Frank also has a solo part in
"The Girl That I Marry" and Annie
and Frank sing the duet, "Anything
You Can Do."
With the finale comes the en-
semble rendition of "Show
Business" and "They Say It's
Wonderful."
FHA students
win competition
Thirteen Kings Mountain High
School Future Homemakers partic-
ipated March 2 in Southwest
Region A competitive events at
Central Piedmont Community
College in Charlotte.
Mandy Jones placed first in the
All Star Chapter event.
Mychuwan Logan, Amanda
Burns and Bobby Philbeck placed
first in the Nutra Trends event with
the "Pyramid of Pasta."
Tabatha Carman, Michelle
Meeks and Crystal Peavey placed
second in the Little Friends event
with the"Kitchen, Kids and So
Forth."
Ginger Mergott placed third in
the Food Service event.
Other local FHA'ers attending
were Tamika Crocker, Susan
Burns, Shana Cobb, Christy
Jimison and Becky Champion.
Career Day planned
Career Day will be held at
Gaston College Wednesday, March
23 from 9:30-11:30 in the Myers
Center Cafeteria.
