A native of Due West, SC, she was a retired school teacher. She was a member of Boyce Memorial ARP Church and was a graduate of Due West Female College, now known as Erskine College, in Due West, SC. She was active in many civic organizations in Kings Mountain. 3 She was the daughter of the late Robert Speer and Mary Eleanor Stone Galloway, and wife of the late Ernest Wright Neal. She was preceded in death by a son, Ernest Wright Neal Jr. on October 27, 1993. She is survived by her daughter, Eleanor Cooper Scharf of Kings Mountain; a sister, Kathryn Galloway of Due West, SC; three grandchildren; four great-grand- children; one great-great-grand- child; and several nieces and nephews. She was former owner and opera- tor of the Kings Mountain Hospital Gift Shop. She was a 1980 gradu- ate of Bessemer City High School and was a member of Bright Light Baptist Church of Bessemer City. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Teddy Duane Biggerstaff; her paternal grandmother, Inez Wiggins of Belmont; and two sisters, Pamela J. Lee of Forest City and Lt. Debra Lee of Cary. She was also the granddaughter of the late Casper Wiggins and the late Willis and Fannie Payne White.
