HELEN NEAL
Helen Galloway Neal, 102, of
112 North Piedmont Avenue,
Kings Mountain, died May 9, 1994
at Kings Mountain Hospital.
A native of Due West, SC, she
was a retired school teacher. She
was a member of Boyce Memorial
ARP Church and was a graduate of
Due West Female College, now
known as Erskine College, in Due
West, SC. She was active in many
civic organizations in Kings
Mountain. 3
She was the daughter of the late
Robert Speer and Mary Eleanor
Stone Galloway, and wife of the
late Ernest Wright Neal. She was
preceded in death by a son, Ernest
Wright Neal Jr. on October 27,
1993.
She is survived by her daughter,
Eleanor Cooper Scharf of Kings
Mountain; a sister, Kathryn
Galloway of Due West, SC; three
grandchildren; four great-grand-
children; one great-great-grand-
child; and several nieces and
nephews.
A memorial service will be con-
ducted by the Rev. Billy Barron

Lucille Chaney Gladden, 79, of
511 Crescent Hill Road, Kings
Mountain, died May 10, 1994 at
White Oak Manor.
A native of Cleveland County,
she was a retired textile worker.
She was the daughter of the late
Rev. Robert L. and Winnie Moss
Chaney, and wife of the late Clyde
Gladden.
She is survived by a son, Doug
Gladden of Stanley; a brother, Jack
Chaney of Kings Mountain; six sis-
ters, Edith Millwood of Bessemer
City and Dorothy Phillips, Sue
Rhea, Peggy Childers, Loretta
Owens and Sherry Short, all of
Kings Mountain; and a grandson,
Mike Gladden.
The funeral will be conducted by
the Revs. Eugene Land, Mitchell
Pruitt and Jerry Millwood
Thursday at 2 p.m. at Second
Baptist Church. Burial will be in
Mountain Rest Cemetery.
The family received friends
Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at Harris
Funeral Home.

SHELBY - Eliza Randall
Biddix, 96, of Northwood Health
Care, died May 9, 1994 at
Northwood Health Care.
A native of Cherokee County,
SC, she was a homemaker. She
was the daughter of the late Robert
Pinkney and Rachael Bird Randall.
She is survived by her daughter,
Irene Biddix of Kings Mountain;
six grandchildren; eight great-
grandchildren; and seven great-
great-grandchildren.

JAMEY HUNT
Jamey Renee Hunt, 10, of 14
Whetstine Road, Kings Mountain ,
died May 7, 1994 at her home.
A native of Anderson, SC, she
was the daughter of Jim "Jimmy"
and Cathy Ballard Hunt of the
home. She was a Baptist and a
fourth grade student at Bethware
Elementary School.
In addition to her parents, she is
survived by a sister, Amanda Kay
Hunt of the home; and her grand-
parents, Jim and Mary Hunt and
Dot Ballard, all of Anderson, SC.
The funeral was conducted by
the Revs. Bill Rigsby and David
White Tuesday at 2 p.m. at The
McDougald Funeral Home Chapel
in Anderson, SC. Burial was in
Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in
Anderson.

Hospital in Fairfax, Va.
A native of Cleveland County,
she was a retired elementary school
teacher and wife of the late North
Carolina Senator and Judge Jack
H. White. She was a graduate of
Lenoir-Rhyne College and a mem-
ber of Kings Mountain Baptist
Church.
She was the daughter of the late
Edward D. and Ruby Lattimore
Cline.
She is survived by a son, Jack H.
White Jr. of Clifton, Va.; two
daughters, Mrs. Nancy Mauney of
Cherryville and Mrs. Alyson Hall
of Charlotte; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy
C. Hord of Lawndale; and five
grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted by
the Revs. Dan Silver, Dick
Whitener and Patricia Stone
Thursday at 4 p.m. at Kings
Mountain Baptist Church. Burial
will be in Mountain Rest Cemetery.

Mountain, died May 5, 1994 at
Gaston Memorial Hospital.
A native of Kings Mountain, she
was the daughter of the late
Thomas and Ollie ‘Whisnant
Harmon, and wife of the late
Robert Marion Dover. She was a
homemaker and member of
Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons,
Glenn Alton Dover of Dallas and
Charles Dover of Kings Mountain;
a brother, Claude Harmon of Kings
Mountain; and two grandchildren.
A graveside service was con-
ducted by the Revs. Wray Barrett
and Michael Butzberger Sunday at
3 p.m. at Mountain Rest Cemetery.

HICKORY - Sharmie Louette
Wiggins Biggerstaff, 33, of 1473
1994 at Frye Regional Medical
Center.
A native of Gaston County, she
was the daughter of Lloyd Wiggins
and Jean White Wiggins of
Bessemer City. She was employed
as a cashier at Roses of Hickory.
She was former owner and opera-
tor of the Kings Mountain Hospital
Gift Shop. She was a 1980 gradu-
ate of Bessemer City High School
and was a member of Bright Light
Baptist Church of Bessemer City.
In addition to her parents, she is
survived by her husband, Teddy
Duane Biggerstaff; her paternal
grandmother, Inez Wiggins of
Belmont; and two sisters, Pamela J.
Lee of Forest City and Lt. Debra
Lee of Cary. She was also the
granddaughter of the late Casper
Wiggins and the late Willis and
Fannie Payne White.
The funeral was conducted by
the Revs. Robert White and Ronnie
Hinson Saturday at 4 p.m. at Bright
Light Baptist Church in Bessemer
City. Burial was in Westview
Gardens, Bessemer City.
