STACEY DUANE SNOW (Joi Renee Millen Millen-Snow The Alumni House Garden on the campus of the University of South Carolina at Columbia, SC was the setting for the Saturday wedding of Joi Renee Millen and Stacey Duane Snow. : Rev. Needham Williamson officiated the ceremony for which a string quartet provided music. The bride was given in marriage by her father. The bridegroom's best man was Donnie Self of Myrtle Beach, SC. The bride wore an ivory off-the-shoulder lace and taffeta wedding gown and carried a bouquet of mixed fresh flowers. Cheri Foster of Cayce, SC was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jenny Aldridge and Stacey Epting, both of Columbia, SC. . The attendants wore ivory off-the-shoulder gowns enhanced by pink flowers. They carried bouquets of fresh summer flowers. Thomas Rich of Lexington, SC and Mark Foster of Cayce, SC ushered. The bride's parents hosted the reception in the Alumni House after the ceremony. The bridegroom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at Capstone House Friday evening. ; The bride is the daughter of Thomas and Betty Millen of Cayce, SC and granddaughter of Mrs. Lucille Montjoy of Charlotte and the late Zettie Deal Millen of Kings Mountain. She is a graduate student in the MAT Early Childhood program at the University of South Carolina. The bridegroom is the son of Glenda Bone of Cayce, SC and Chuck Snow of Columbia, SC. He holds an Associates degree in Criminal Justice from Midlands Technical College. He is a Special Agent with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division. : After a wedding trip to California, the newlyweds will be at home in Little River after May 24. Crime program set at Legion How can you keep you and your family safe? What if you are con- fronted by an attacker? These are just two of the ques- tions that representatives of "Citizens Against Crime" will an- swer Thursday, May 19, during a free, educational, crime prevention seminar at the American Legion Building. The American Legion Auxiliary is sponsoring the program, open to the public, at 7 p.m. A part of the program, "Crime in The Workplace," was recently featured by CNN. : Tear gas spray will be available at a nominal fee and Call Police signs and security alarm stickers will also be available. The focus of the program, ac- cording to Jean Gibson, program coordinator, is to empower people to create a responsible safety plan for themselves and their families before a crime happens. - Through audience participation and humor, Gibson and other rep- resentatives of the Charlotte-based organization will create a safe en- vironment for people to explore how they would react in various crime situations. The seminar will begin promptly at 7 p.m. After the program, Auxiliary hostesses Daisy Queen, | Arlene Barrett, Nellie Harrison and Lib Stewart will serve punch and cookies. Militia to encamp at park The Catawba Militia, a recreated 18th Century military unit, will be encamped at Kings Mountain National Military Park Saturday and Sunday. The encampment, consisting of 15 men and women, will be near the Park Visitor Center and will demonstrate such period skills and crafts as military drill, musket fir- ing, campfire cooking, tomahawk throwing, medical practices, writ- ing techniques, bullet and button molding and sewing. Hinson-Stuart The engagement of Lynn Gann Hinson and Jeffery Lewis Stuart, both of Kings Mountain, is announced by the bride-to-be's parents, Boyce Hinson and Lillie Hinson, both of Kings Mountain. : The bride-elect attended Kings Mountain High School and is employed in the Pre-Production Department of Polygram CD Manufacturing in Kings Mountain. ; The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Stuart of Gastonia. He attended Hunter Huss High School in Gastonia and has completed a tour of duty with the U. S. Army. He is employed in the Inventory Control Department at Polygram CD Manufacturing in Kings Mountain, A June 4 wedding is planned. The Walkers were married May 12, 1977 in Wyoming, West Virginia and were the last couple that Rev. G.W. Warner married be- fore his death.
