RS 5G es ——— A Birthdays JORDAN CHILDERS Jordan Childers is four years old Jordan Michelle Childers, daughter of Tony and Teresa Childers, celebrated her fourth birthday June 15. A sleep-over party was held at her home on June 10. Guests were Morgan Childers, Jordan's older sister, Jordan Doty and Brianna Grant. The party theme was Jasmine. The children enjoyed piz- za and coke, then the Jasmine cake was cut and served with chips, ice cream and coke. The children en- joyed games and movies. Jordan is the granddaughter of Jimmy and Pat Childers, Ralph and Linda Shirkey, Bill and Gail Childers, and Terri Johnson and Tony Davidson. She is the great- granddaughter of Doris Johnson and Neely Keeter. JESSICA STROUPE Jessica Stroupe is eight years old Jessica Stroupe was eight years old July 19. She celebrated her birthday Saturday, July 23 at her home at 105 N. Tracy St. with a Lion King cake and decorations. Her uncle, David Tice, dressed as a clown and gave balloons to the kids and entertained them with games and prizes. Attending the party were her brother, Jack Parker, Haley Crosby, Candice Brown, Brandy Sprouse, Sabrina Jones, Justin Smith, Jonathan Goff, and Karen. Jessica is the granddaughter of Shirley Hinson and the great- granddaughter of Fred and Violet Hinson. She is the step-grand- daughter of Linda and Sandy Goff of Clover, SC. Barrington twins born July 20, 1994 Philip Charles Barrington and Andrew James Barrington, twin sons of John O. and Jo Ellen Bryant Barrington of Shelby, were born July 20, 1994 at Cleveland Memorial Hospital. Philip weighed five pounds, 7 1/2 ounces and was 18 inches long. Andrew weighed six pounds, 11 1/2 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long. Philip and Andrew have an older brother, Joseph, who is three years old. Maternal grandparents are Howard and Anne Bryant of Kings Mountain. They are 35 year resi- dents of the city and are both re- tired from Kings Mountain District Schools. Paternal grandparents are Mrs. Twila Hamilton Barrington, a life- long resident of Litchfield, Michigan, and the late George Barrington. Graysons announce birth of son Kendall Kendall Ray Grayson was born July 19, 1994 at Cleveland Memorial Hospital. He weighed eight pounds and was 19 inches long. : Parents and Kevin R. and Anita Izzi Grayson of 503 Hawthorne Road, Kings Mountain. Maternal grandparents are Tony and Mickey Izzi. Paternal grand- parents are Kenneth and Helen Grayson. Great-grandparents are Cone and Louise Shull and Avery Grayson. ~ BRADLEY HENDERSON Bradley Henderson born June 30, 1994 Bradley and Lori Ann Henderson of Grover announce the birth of their son, Bradley Lance Henderson, June 30, 1994 at Cleveland Memorial Hospital. He weighed eight pounds, two ounces and was 20 inches long. Grandparents are Raeford and Frances White and Linda and Reimund Allmond, all of Kings Mountain, and Dean and Vanessa Henderson of Gastonia. Great-grandparents are Calvin and Madge Holland of Cherryville and Mrs. Sally White of Clover, SC. Chapmans announce birth of Brooke Logan Chapman Don and Allyson Chapman of Indian Head, Md., announce the ar- rival of their daughter, Brooke Logan Chapman, July 9, 1994, in Washington, DC. The baby weighed nine pounds, 11 ounces and was 22 inches long. Grandparents are Larry and Sandra Bumgardner, Robbie and Wanda Goforth and Bonnie and Dennis Chapman. Great-grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Gene Bumgardner, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Chapman and Mr. and Mrs. John Carpenter. 51 donors give to blood bank Fifty-one people gave a pint of blood, including nine first-time donors, at the bloodmobile at Sara Lee/Bali in Kings Mountain July 13. A total of 66 came to donate blood, according to the Gaston County Red Cross Chapter. Winn-Dixie boosts Red Cross campaign The Red Cross received a strong boost in its disaster relief campaign when the Jacksonville-based Winn- Dixie Stores Inc. donated $250,000 to the fund. The money will be used to aid in the recovery for flood victims in Alabama, Georgia and Florida. The American Red Cross has de- ployed over 3,000 volunteers and supplies to assist in relief efforts.
