JONATHAN WILSON McDONALD ( Kimberly Stahr Wilson) Wilson-McDonald Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Wilson McDonald, who were wed Saturday, are on a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico and afterwards will reside in Tega Cay, SC. Kimberly Stahr Wilson became McDonald's bride in a ceremony in St. John's Lutheran Church in Cherryville. Rev. Michael E. Collins officiated. : Iva Bane was organist, Blair Beam was vocalist, Joan Johnson was harpist and Learey Cloer was trumpeter for the program of nuptial music. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a white satin gown from Impression Bridals. The fitted bodice featured a Vee neckline edged in delicate pearls and a plunging Vee back. The long, tapered sleeves were gently pouffed at the shoulders and decorated with Alencon lace, beads and sequins. The ballgown skirt flowed into a Cathedral train which was completed by an Alencon lace peplum and centered by a satin bow with Alencon motifs at the bustle. She carried a knee-length cascade of gardenias, white roses, stephanotis, accents of pearls with greenery, ruscus and magnolia leaves. Sumer Ford was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Michelle Uren of Shelby, Becky Rankin of Belmont, Courtney Bongard of Charlotte and Tiffany Lawing of Lincolnton. All the attendants wore purple two-piece crepe suits. The jackets were styled with satin tuxedo lapels with long sleeves and accented with two rhinestone buttons at the waistline. The suits featured a straight long skirt with a front side split. They carried long, slender cascade bouquets of a magnolia bloom as the focal point accented by pink snapdragons and rus- cus greenery. : Miranda Hill was flower girl. Ryan Godwin was ringbearer. McDonald hosted the re- ‘ception after the ceremony at Club Carolina. : The bride's mother and the bridegroom's parents also hosted the re- hearsal dinner Friday night at Gastonia City Club. The bride is the daughter of Janet C. Wilson of Tega Cay, SC and John C. Wilson Jr. of Gastonia and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Wilson Sr. and Mr .and Mrs. Everette Canipe and great-granddaughter of Frank Canipe. She is a graduate of Cherryville High School and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. ~ Mr. and Mrs. James W. McDonald of Kings Mountain are parents of the bridegroom. He is a graduate of Bessemer City High School, Gaston College and Limestone College and is a professional kneeboarder/ski- boarder for O'Brien International. He is the grandson of Mrs. Margaret Griffin.
