Justin Champion camé off the bench and played well also. He's probably the most physical player we have. He's'our banger." With more rugged non-con- ference games ahead, Sipe said it will be important for his play- ers'to keep a good attitude. “We don't start conference play: until January, and we have tofremember that," he said. "This game can only make us better in the long run. This is a good group that we're working with. Hopefully, we'll turn thirigs around and win some gafries." ® Kings Mountain's girls maihtained a 10-point cushion most of the first half, and still led at the end of three quarters only to see Ashbrook come on sttang at the end to win the game. "The second half, we came out a little bit flat and Ashbrook came out hot. As far as the loss, we're going to have some loss- es, but our girls played hard. I was a little disappointed that we didn't have any more fight than we did when we were trying to come back. We lost the defen- sive intensity that we had in the first half."
