TIMOTHY WAYNE JOHNSON ( Amy Lynn Bumgardner) Bumgardner-Johnson First Wesleyan Church was the setting December 16, 1995 for the wedding of Amy Lynn Bumgardner and Timothy Wayne Johnson. Rev. Oscar Stalcup, pastor of Foursquare Gospel Church, and Rev. Todd Reynolds officiated the cere- mony for which Shane Hammett of Gastonia was pi- anist and vocalist and Joy Fox of Kings Mountain was soloist. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a formal gown of white bridal satin enhanced by sequins and pearls. The dress was fashioned with Princess sleeves. The skirt ended in a 12-feet long train which was fastened from the waist with a satin bow. She carried a bouquet of red roses, white carna- tions, baby's breath and white lilies. Mrs. Patricia Franks of Gastonia was matron of honor and bridesmaids were Mrs. Wendy Postell, Ashley Lawing and Beth Bumgardner, all of Kings Mountain, Mrs. Julie McDowell of Spartanburg, SC and Mrs. Kim Stewart of Gastonia. All the attendants wore red tea-length straight fit- ted gowns with V backs outlined with red sequined linings and topped by a red bow. They carried single red roses. Heffner-Lightsey Lily Memorial Baptist Church in Shelby was the setting for the September 30, 1995 wedding uniting Julie Anne Heffner and James Lightsey. The bride and bridegroom sang the duet, "Faithfully," as the wedding music. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a candlelight dress with a matching hat and carried an arm bouquet of flowers. Sherry Freeman of Shelby was matron of honor and Scott Martin of Kings Mountain was best man. The parents of the couple hosted the reception af- ter the ceremony in the church fellowship hall. The bride, daughter of John and Ellen Heffner of Stowe Acres, is a 1995 graduate of Kings Mountain High School where she was nominated for Homecoming Queen. The bridegroom, son of Ray and Robin Lightsey of Kings Mountain is also a 1995 graduate of Kings Mountain High School. The newlyweds reside in Grover.
