Willie's airing TNN commercials Willie's Furniture and J.B. CableAds will co-sponsor The Nashville Network on the Vision Cable of Shelby system. "We're excited about TNN," said Dennis Costner of Willie's. "The wholesome family pro- gramming of the TNN Network appeals to what we want to be associated with in our market area. "Willie's Furniture has expe- rienced tremendous growth since 1990. One of the main reasons for the growth is due to Cable TV advertising, and this agreement with TNN will open the door for Willie's Furniture commercials to be: seen throughout the day on TNN-in ‘addition to other cable networks such as ESPN, CNN, TNT, USA, and The Weather Channel. "We're not trying to win any Emmy Awards. We just want people to remember our name when they think of furniture, and we try to do just that by having fun with our TV com- imercials," Costner said. Willie's Furniture TV com- mercials have maintained a light humorous setting from the zany stooges-like carpenters re- modeling the store to the half- witted psychiatrist informing patients who dream of wallpa- per and decorating that they have "The Willie's." The com- mercials aren't quickly forgot- ten. "Get ready for more of the same," Costner says. "Our TNN sponsorship will give us even more opportunities to be cre- ative in 1995."
