as a Fragrance Representative with
Ivey's of Gastonia. She was the
daughter of the late Eldon M.
Thompson. and after graduation
from Landon High School she be-
came a Policy Loan Representative
for Prudential. Following her mar-
riage April 28, 1956, Mrs.
Loveless served with her husband
and family in eight National Parks
across the nation and was active in
the National Park Wives
Association. She was an avid col-
lector of teddy bears and gnomes
and a creative and accomplished
craftswoman in her own right.
Survivors are her husband, Park
Superintendent Andrew M. "Mike"
Loveless; daughter, Mrs. Mary C.
"Cathy" Teasley of Lattimore; son,
David C. "Chris" Loveless of
Antioch, SC; mother, Mrs. Ruth A.
Raybourn of Jacksonville, Fla; and
sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth A. Mertz of
Jacksonville, Fla. and Mrs. Julie E.
Ripley of Elkhorn, Wis.
A prayer service was held and
friends received from 7-8:30 p.m.
Sunday, Feb. 26 at Harris Funeral
Home. A funeral Mass of the
Resurrection was held at Christ the
MN
- King Catholic Church at 10 a.m.
Monday, Feb. 27, followed by buri-
al at Clingman Memorial Gardens
near Blacksburg, SC. The Rev.
Monsignor William G. Wellein of-
ficiated.
CHARLIE SPROUSE
Charlie Sprouse, 74, 130 West
Gold Street Extension, Kings
Mountain, died February 22, 1995
at Mercy Hospital in Charlotte.
A native of Cleveland County,
he was the son of the late Manuel
Monroe and Josie Mullinax
Sprouse. He was a retired textile

Mary Frances "Nick" Morrison
Holland, 65, 707 Gold Street,
Kings Mountain, died Sunday. Feb.
26. 1995 at Kings Mountain
Hospital.
A native of Cleveland County,
she was the daughter of the late
Charlie and Alta Hamrick
Morrison. She was a cook at
Hardees in Kings Mountain and a
member of the Salvation Army of
Shelby.
She is survived by her husband,
Billy Norman Holland; two daugh-
ters, Threnna Burgess of Kings
Mountain and Debra Clausen of
San Diego, CA; four sisters, Ruby
Weaver, Gladys McSwain and
Betty Bucannon of Shelby, and
Eunice Parker of Kings Mountain;
and five grandchildren.
The funeral was conducted by
the Rev. Jerry Hubbard Wednesday
at 2 p.m. at Clay-Barnette Chapel.
Burial was in Mountain Rest
Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the
American Heart Association, P.O.

SALLIE WHITE
CLOVER, SC - Mrs. Sallie
Corilla Howell White, 90, 1601
Lloyd White Road, died February
27, 1995 at White Oak Manor,
York, SC.
A native of Lincoln County, she
was the daughter of the late Julius
FE. and Dora Workman Howell. She
was the widow of Jackson J. White
and was a member of Crowder's
Creek A.R.P. Church in Gastonia.
She is survived by five sons,
Lloyd White, Gene White and
Harold White of Clover, Max
White of Florence and Raeford
White of Kings Mountain; a
daughter, Mrs. Shirley W. Eades of
Clover; a brother, Roosevelt
Howell of Drexel; 23 grandchil-
dren, 27 great-grandchildren, and
two great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral was conducted by
the Rev. Barry F. Sanders
Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Crowders
Creek A.R.P. Church. Interment
was in Woodside Cemetery.

Jolley of Shelby and Mrs. Margaret
Hayes of Gaffney, SC; and three
grandchildren.
The funeral was conducted by
the Rev. Harold Bumby Saturday at
2 p.m. at East Gold Street
Wesleyan Church. Burial was in
Oak View Baptist Church ceme-
tery.

GASTONIA - Russell Howard
Caldwell, 85, 1615 Patricia Street,
died February 27, 1995 at Gaston
Memorial Hospital.
A native of Lincoln County, he
was the son of the late Walter and
Etta Chronister Caldwell, and was
a retail furniture salesman with
Rankin Armstrong Furniture
Company. He was a member of
Salem Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife,
Mabel Allen Caldwell; two step-
daughters, Pegg Lara of
Wilmington and Carolyn Smith of
Kings Mountain; two sons-in-aw,
Leonard Smith and Rev. Agustine
Lara; and a number of nieces and
nephews.
The funeral will be conducted by
the Revs. Billy Allen, Agustine
Lara and Dale Thornburg Thursday
at 2 p.m. at Greene Funeral
Service. Burial will be at
Hollywood Cemetery. The family
will receive friends from 12:30-2
p.m. at the Funeral Home.
