Teaching Fellows for 1995-96.

Keen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Jess Keen, who plans to attend
Appalachian State University.
The Teaching Fellows Program
is the most ambitious teacher re-
cruitment program in the nation
and provides $5,000 per year for a
maximum of four years of college
to 400 high school seniors who
agree to teach for four years in
North Carolina public schools after
oroduating from college.
Since the program began in
1987, every Teaching Feliows
award recipient has had an SAT
score at or above the state average
for that year while maintaining
igs standards in other academic
