— ERE LD AW RN \ \ \ A Kings Mountain's Brad Leonard tied for seventh place in the Southwest 3-A Conference golf tournament and made the All- Conference team. R-S wins SWC golf tournament R-S Central lived up to its pre- season billing by coming from two strokes down to defeat South Point for the Southwest 3-A Conference golf championship Monday at Cleghorn Golf Club. South Point led by two strokes following last week's 18-hole first round at Kings Mountain Country Club. But, on their home course the Hilltoppers stormed from be- hind to post a 651 total to South Points 656. Shelby finished third at 674, followed by Kings Mountain 683, Burns 701, East Rutherford 736 and North Gaston 738. South Point's Mike Hamilton fired a 74 to finish with a 36-hole total of 155 to win individual hon- ors. The event, sponsored by the Mountaineer Club, will raise funds for the KMHS athletic department. Admission is $2 for all ages and concessions will be available.
