ROBERT HILTON BLALOCK III (Julie Ann Jenkins) Jenkins-Blalock Julie Ann Jenkins of Belmont and Robert Hilton Blalock III of Gastonia were united in marriage May 20 at First United Methodist Church. The Rev. David Huffstetler officiated the 4 p.m. ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Ms. Jene Jenkins of Myrtle Beach, SC and Robert Thomas Jenkins of Kings Mountain. She is a 1989 graduate of Kings Mountain High School, where she was a member of the National Vocational Technical Honor Society. In May of 1994 she received a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Belmont Abbey College where she was also a member of the Tri-Beta Honor Society. She is employed by Gaston Memorial Hospital Pharmacy in Gastonia. The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hilton Blalock Jr. of Gastonia, is a 1987 graduate of Gaston ball team. He attended Wingate College and graduated from North Carolina Center for Applied Textile Technology. He is a member of The International Management Council and on the board of directors of the YMCA Central Branch. He is employed with Precision Machine Products in Gastonia. Robert Thomas Jenkins gave his daughter in mar- riage. Tammy Saunders of Shelby, sister of the bride, was 'I. matron of honor. # Mountain. Bridesmaids were Angela Davis of Gastonia, sister of the bridegroom, Paige Carpenter of Greensboro, Lizabeth Evans of York, SC and Renee Reagan of Stanley. Laura Tomblin of Forest City was flower girl. The bridegroom's father was best man. Ushers were Joe Davis, Robert Kirby III, Timmy Harris and Bruce Shore, all of Gastonia and Todd nephew of the bridegroom, was ringbearer. The vocal soloists were Jada Brown and Kevin Bolin of Kings Mountain. Trumpeter was Randy Lineberger of Gastonia. A reception was hosted by the couple's parents at the Family Life Center at First United Methodist Church following the ceremony. A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the bridegroom's parents at Gastonia City Club. Following a trip to Bermuda, the newlyweds will re- side in Gastonia. Weddings & Engagements Ve Day School. DEANNA DAWN JONES Jones-Parker The engagement of Deanna Dawn Jones and Daniel Todd Parker is announced by the bride-to-be's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Jones, all of Kings Mountain. The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Danny Parker and Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell Howze, all of Kings Mountain. Miss Jones attended Kings Mountain High School and was active in Cosmetology and in Future Business Leaders of America. She is employed by Bolin Day Care. The bridegroom-to-be attended Cleveland Community College for two years and holds a certifi- cate in Automotive Paint and Body. He is employed by Ruppe Hosiery. The wedding will be an event of August 26. Maid of honor was Sharon Blanton of Kings Saunders of Shelby.
