KEITH WILLIAM SAINE (Lori Yvette Powell) Powell-Saine Bethpage Lutheran Church in Lincolnton was the setting May 13 for the wedding of Lori Yvette Powell and Keith William Saine III. Rev. John E. Bell officiated the 5 p.m. ceremony for which Tonya Kesler presented the nuptial music. The bride wore an ivory floor-length tailored suit with portrait collar and carried a bouquet of Casablanca lilies and roses. Juan P. Huffstetler was matron of honor and only at- tendant. She wore a black and ivory floor-length crepe gown and carried a bouquet of Casablanca lilies and OSes. The bridegroom's father was best man. Ushers were Jeff Powell and Palmer Huffstetler Jr. of Cherryville, Michael Powell, Don Pendleton Jr. and Johnny Goins, all of Lincolnton, and Mark Medlin of Raleigh. Junior groomsmen were Benjamin Powell, Tripp Huffstetler and Jon Powell. A reception was held after the ceremony at Club Carolina in Cherryville. The bride and bridegroom hosted the rehearsal din- ner May 12 at Fortenberry's on Pine Mountain. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Merle Powell of Cherryville and the late Houser Powell. A 1979 gradu- ate of Cherryville High School and a 1981 graduate of Central Piedmont Community College, she is em- ployed by Dr. G. K. Howard Jr. as a dental hygienist. Mr. and Mrs. Keith William Saine Jr. of Lincolnton are parents of the bridegroom. A 1979 graduate of Lincolnton High School, he is a 1983 graduate of Greensboro College. He is employed by Jim Lail & Associates of Lincolnton. The newlyweds have returned from a wedding trip to Charleston, SC and are residing at 1940 Hidden Valley Avenue in Lincolnton. The wedding will be an event of July 1. Bridal party for Shear Jean Shear, June 17 bride-elect of Daryl Reed, was honored at a household shower May 13 at the home of Vickie Hicks on Oak Grove Road. Special guests were Mrs. Joan S. Wilson of Shelby, Mrs. Mary Accor and Miss Darnell Shear of Grover, sisters of the bride-elect. The deck of the Hicks home was beautifully deco- rated with spring flowers and ferns.
