Ron Caulder, pastor of Oak Grove Baptist Church, who formal- ly dedicated the Redbud Friday to the memory of the victims of the April bombing of the Oklahoma City Federal Office building. "As we reflect and remember the tragedy of Oklahoma City we are reminded of the evil of the world we live in and the spirit of love in which we reach out to express our concern," said Caulder. : The Parks & Recreation Department, assisted by Human Services Director Winston Bagwell, arranged the program as a highlight of a safety celebration and pre-Memorial Day picnic in which numerous employees won awards. The tree was donated by Shagreen Nursery in Shelby. Director of Utilities Jimmy Maney won the big prize, a day off, for his prize winning safety slogan, "Let's Not Meet By Accident." The 160-plus employees munched hotdogs and all the trim- mings for two hours in the shade of trees g on a hot summer day.
