A native of Kings Mountain, she was the daughter of the late R.S. and Elizabeth Williams Thornburg, and wife of the late Monroe James Bell. She was a homemaker and was retired from Lee’ Southern Engraving Company in Charlotte : where she lived for 12 years before moving here. She was a member of St. John Baptist Church, Charlotte, before moving to Thomasville. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Billy Joe Lewis of Thomasville, Ga.; son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Vilma Bell of Lincolnton; three brothers, Theadore Thornburg of Charlotte, Fred Thornburg of Kings Mountain, and Otha Thornburg of Rock Hill, SC; six grandchildren, Anne Lewis Moss, Gail Einhart Consendino, Carol Einhart Jordan, Beth Einhart Briggs, Ron Bell, and Connie Bell Vernon; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted by the Rev. James E. Keegan Saturday at 11 a.m. at Sugar Creek Presbyterian Church, Charlotte. Burial will be in Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the mausoleum. PAUL NELSON FITE McDONOUGH, GA. - Paul Nelson Fite, 61, 410 Fawn Meadow Lane, died July 16, 1995 at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, Ga. A native of Kings Mountain, he was the son of the late Lloyd W. and Thelma Carpenter Fite. He was employed by Carolina Freight and was a member of Sunset Avenue Baptist Church in Rocky Mount. He is survived by his wife, Peggy = Watterson Fite of McDonough; two sons, Todd Nelson Fite of Charleston, SC, and Kent Jeffery Fite and daughter-in- law Laura Fite ‘of Florence, SC; and a daughter, Cheri Lynne Fite and son-in-law Plummer Nye of Winterville. A graveside service was con- ducted by the Rev. Dale Thornburg Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Mountain Rest Cemetery. MARION L. GRAY Marion L. Gray, 59, 411 S. Cherokee St., Kings Mountain, died July 11, 1995 at Broughton Hospital. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late F. Pierce and Fay Connor Gray. William Albert Queen, Jr., 57, 1007 North Cleveland Avenue, Kings Mountain, died July 13, 1995 at Carolinas Medical Center. A native of Gaston County, he was the son of Evelyn Mauney Queen and the late William A. Queen Sr. He was former owner and operator of Queen's ‘Amoco in Bessemer City for 42 years, and was one of the founding members of the Bessemer City Sportsman Club. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Irene Strickland Queen; and a son, William A. Queen III of Kings Mountain. The funeral was conducted by the Rev. Terry Rowland Sunday at 3 p.m. at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home Chapel in Bessemer City. Burial was in Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain. ANNIS C. FRANKLIN Annis Cody Franklin, 78, 214 W. Lee Street, Bessemer City, died July 14, 1995 at her home. A native of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Julie Grindstaff Cody and step- daughter of the late Jim Cody. She was the wife of the late James Franklin and was also preceded in death by her brothers, Clarence and Charlie Cody. She was a retired winder with Threads Inc., a homemaker, and a member of Sunset Lane Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons, Terrell Franklin of Kings Mountain, Donald Franklin of Bessemer City and Johnny Franklin of Shelby; a daughter, Jane Barker of Bessemer City; three brothers, Carl Cody and Locke Cody of Marshall and Clyde Cody of Asheville; 14 grandchil- dren and nine great-grandchildren. The funeral was conducted by the Rev. Ronnie Hinson. and Dr. Gene Ware Sunday at 2 p.m. at Sunset Lane Baptist Church. Burial was in Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers were Terrell, Johnny, Michael and Johnny Franklin Jr., Shane and Johnny Neal Jr., Johnny Barker and Ken Eady. AUNDREA QUINN GASTONIA - Aundrea Kay "Mickey" Medford Quinn, 46, 1412 Beechwood Avenue, died July 16, 1995 at her home. A native of Gaston County, she was the daughter of Edna Green Medford Revels of Kings Mountain and the late Clifford L. Medford, and wife of the late Thomas Edward Quinn. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter, Connie K. Michelle Quinn of Gastonia; and three sisters, Joan and Selma Cook of Kings Mountain and Della Mode of Shelby. The funeral was conducted by the Rev. Ben Summitt Monday at 7 p.m. at Carothers Funeral Home. Burial was in Cemetery. Hollywood BUDDY ROSE GASTONIA - Buddy Joe Rose, 44, 4401 Falls Street, died July 14, 1995 at his home. A native of Gaston County, he was a machinist for W.D. Lee Machine Corporation for 10 years.
