MRS. CHARLES ROBERT BURCHETT JR.
Valentine-Burchett
Carissa Ann Valentine of Sylva and Charles Robert
Burchett Jr. of Winston-Salem were united in marriage
in a 4 p.m. ceremony August 26 at Lovedale Baptist

Rev. Tommy Madden officiated the ceremony for
which the music was presented by Ginny Reeves of
Franklin, organist and vocalist, Johanna Mathis of
Franklin, Hunsucker of
pianist, and Grant

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a
white satin gown featuring a flowing semi-cathedral
length train and bouffant skirt, both hemmed in beaded
and sequined, reembroidered Alencon lace. The bodice
featured a Basque waist, a Sweetheart neckline and
short shirred sleeves with soft rosettes accenting the
shoulders. The illusion veil,
the bride's mother, was attached to a halo of flowers
and pearls, designed and made by the bride's grand-
mother. She carried a cascading bouquet of white rose-
buds accented with Stargazer lilies, ivy and baby's
breath.
Nicole Carter of Rockingham was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Amy Hogin of Raleigh, Suzanne
Varner of Old Fort and Tammy Varner of Kings
Mountain.
