Mr. and Mrs. William Eugene Scism of Kings
Mountain announce the engagement of their daughter,
Kimberly Gene, to Keith Evan Eagle, son of Mr. and
Mrs. John Chalmers Eagle Jr. of Charlotte.
Miss Scism is a 1989 graduate of Kings Mountain
High School and graduated from Wingate College in
1993 and Appalachian State University in 1994 with a
Master's in Public Administration. She is employed by
the City of Charlotte as a resource analyst.
The bridegroom-to-be graduated from North
‘Mecklenburg High School in 1990 and from Wingate
College in 1994. He is a student at Appalachian State
University and is employed by ASU School of Music
as a graduate assistant.
The wedding will take place December 30 in
Patterson Grove Baptist Church in Kings Mountain.
Chamber to sponsor
October forum
The Cleveland County Chamber
of Commerce will sponsor a forum
on teen pregnancy, adolescent sub-
stance abuse; dropouts and juvenile
crime and their impact on the com-
munity October 10 at the CCC
Auditorium.
A number of state and local ex-
perts will be a part of a panel dis-
cussing the four concerns.
The forum is free and open to
the public.

nounce the engagement of their daughter, Leslie Carol,
to Conrad F. Martin Jr. of Bessemer City, son of
Conrad and Angela Martin of Saugerties, New York.
Miss Dover is a graduate of Kings Mountain High
School She earned her B. S. degree in Business
Education from Appalachian State University.
The bridegroom-to-be is a graduate of Saugerties
High School and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in
English at Geneseo State University of New York.
The wedding will be an event of November 18.

phases of income tax preparation including current laws, theory and
application.
Graduates will receive an H&R BLOCK certificate of
| achievement as well as the opportunity to interview for
