Carpenter and Robin Mark Scruggs. Chaplain Ed Richardson officiated the ceremony for which Greg James presented the wedding music. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a white silk gown featuring an off-the-shoulder bodice with portrait neckline accented with small pearls and a long skirt enhanced by a Cathedral train. Her illusion veil was draped from a Camelot cap stud- ded with seed pearls and sequins. She carried an all- white bouquet of baby roses, carnations, stephanotis, button poms and springerii. Claudia Carpenter of Gastonia, the bride's sister, was maid of honor. She wore a long, fitted amethyst silk gown featuring off-the-shoulder bodice with braid- ed neckline. Tyler Scruggs and Patrick Rose were junior grooms- men. Stan Scruggs was best man. Randy Lewis of Chester, SC ushered with Ron Raniszewski of Lowesville. Bruce Hancock officiated the ceremony for which Mrs. Marty Blanton, organist, and Anita Ware, vocalist, presented the wedding music. The bride was given in marriage by her mother, Susan Phillips. She wore a white wedding gown en- hanced by lace, pearls and bows and designed with off-shoulder neckline, Crumbcatcher sleeves and long skirt accented by a Cathedral train. Dana Bronson of Shelby was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Heather Dablen of Shelby, and Beth Davis and Laura Blanton, both of Kings Mountain. All the attendants wore purple and white Southern Belle gowns enhanced by lace, ribbon and bows. The bridegroom's father was best man.
