Robbery reported at Kings Mountain gas station
A strong arm robbery is under
investigation by the Kings
Mountain Police Department.
Steven, Green. a clerk / at
Petroleum World. 600 E. King St.,
told police he was opening up
about 6:36 a.m. December 19 and
had just started to count the cash in
the money drawer when a male
wearing a ski mask burst into the
station, knocked him from a stool
on which he was sitting and
grabbed the money and ran.
Police say an undetermined
amount of cash was taken.
Investigating officers are Ptl.
Jerry Tessneer and Ptl. Penny
. Fulton.

Wright Rd., reported that her 1995
Chevrolet was damaged by someone
who threw eggs on the car.
KM Express, 212°'W. King St., re-
ported that a customer pumped gaso-
line and pulled away from the pumps
without paying for it.
Randy Earl Parker, 103 Cameron Dr.,
reported that ‘vandals broke a window
of his 1986 Mazda truck and damaged
the steering column.
Express Store, 716 N. Cleveland
Ave., reported that a customer took two
cartons of cigarettes and left the store
without paying for them.
Martin Robert Clarkson, 420 Tate
Terrace, reported an incident of obtain-
ing money by false pretenses.
Silver Express. 501 E. King St., re-
ported that a customer took three pack-
ages of ham and 15 pieces of candy
and left the store with the merchandise
concealed in his shirt.
Lora Bolin, 84 Pine Manor, reported
theft oi a bicycle, VCR, CD player and
tape player boom box from her resi-
dence. The items are valued at nearly
$500.
Patti Cake Shop. 2800 Polkville Rd.,
Polkville, reported theft of silver trays
valued at $300 and plastic trays valued
at $60 from Central United Methodist
Church.
Kings Mountain Police recovered a
burned 1993 Eagle at the old City
Water Lake and are continuing an in-
vestigation into possible arson. The
car, valued at $14.000. belonged to
Hubert Holland, Route 1, Hillway
Church Road.

1 cup butter or margarine. soft-
ened
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 (8 oz.) carton commercial
sour cream
I teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all purpose flour
. | teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped pecans
1/3 cup sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Cream butter: gradually add 2
cups sugar; beating until light and
fluffy. Add eggs. one at a time.

Fold in sour cream and vanilla.
Combine flour. baking powder and
salt: fold into creamed mixture.
Pour halt of batter into a greased
and floured 10-inch springform
pan. Batter will be thin in pan.
Combine pecans. 1/3 cup sugar and
cinnamon in a bowl. Sprinkle
three-fourths of pecan mixture over
batter in pan. Top with remaining
batter. Sprinkle with remaining
pecan mixture. Bake at 325 de-
grees for 1 hour and 10 minutes or
until & wooden pick inserted in
center comes out clean. Let cool on
a wire rack 10 minutes. Remove
sides of pan, let cool completely.
Mary Jane's Hair Place, 507 E. King
St., reported theft of a .25 caliber pis-
tol.
Denise Moss, 819 Church St., re-
ported that her 1990 Chevrolet was
scratched by someone using a sharp
object.
Jackie Logan, 55 Pine Manor, re-
ported that someone entered her apart-
ment while she was not at home.
Nothing was reported missing.
Tonya Renee Murphy, 407 Somerset
Dr., reported theft of her purse from
her car parked at Revco parking lot at
812 W. King Street. The 1995 Pontiac
was damaged $85.
Mabelle Hannon Davis, 606 W.
Gold St., reported theft of her 1984
Chevrolet from her residence. The car

WRECKS
DECEMBER 15
Ptl. S. M. Skinner said that Felicia
Coleman Holland, 101 Marigold Ave.,
Apt. 1, fell asleep at the wheel of her
1991 Dodge on Phifer Road. The vehi-
cle left the road and stopped in an em-
bankment. Holland was not injured.
The car was damaged $600.

doing a total of $1400 damage. The ac-
