BUILDING PLYMOUTH PROWLER - Mayflower Vehicle Systems Inc. will build the body in white
for the new Plymouth Prowler at its Norwalk, Ohio assembly plant. Mayflower will be using the same fa-
cility that was first used by the Fisher Brothers in their early automotive industry involvement.

Construction will begin in
March for Central Carolina Bank's
new office building in Bessemer
City at 125 East Virginia Avenue.
Through a test project with
Innovative Design of Raleigh,
CCB has agreed to install photo-
voltaic panels (pv) into the drive-
up canopy at its branch. These so-
lar panels will supplement the
building's supply of electricity, as
well as offset the utility charges
through heating the building.
CCb and Innovative Design are
joined by the U.S. Department of
Energy, the North Carolina Solar
Center, the North Carolina
Alternative Energy Corporation,
Duke Power and Applebee
Restaurants in this project. The pv
panels will be tested at North
Carolina State University and then
installed in the canopy. The sys-
tem will be monitored for at least
one year to gather data on its per-
formance.
Designed by Ersoy & Associates
of Winston-Salem, the branch will
be 3,100 square feet. here will be
two-drive-up teller lanes and cus-
tomers will have the convenience
of a drive-up automated teller ma-
chine.
