Neily Catherine Elder, 713 Floyd
St., reported theft of a video game and
two game disks during a break-in.
Bridgett Adams, 18 Pine Manor, re-
ported theft of cash from her purse.
‘Sunny Lee Long, 218 Thornburg
Dr., reported that someone broke the
front window of her home doing $25
damage.
Pine Manor Apartments reported
that someone set fire to a bush in front
of Apartment 59. Sgt. Derek Johnson
1s investigating the incident which took
place January 22.
Alan T. Trjillo, 1400 S. 9th St.,
Levington, New Mexico, reported the
theft of a $9,000 Harley Davison cus-
tom motorcycle from a parking lot at a
local motel. Ptl. C. M. Kahn is investi-
gating.
Ptl. Chris Owens reported that a sus-
pect concealed merchandise in his
clothing at Revco, W. King St., and of-
ficers gave chase and returned $117 in
assorted baseball cards to the store.
Lucy Ann Hope, 405 Baker St., re-
ported theft of a jewelry box contain-
ing a silver wedding band, a silver en-
gagement ring with a diamond, a gold
cluster diamond ring and a gold
bracelet. Hope said the items were re-
moved from her home.
Police recovered a reported stolen
vehicle in the parking lot of Scissor
Smith. The 1986 Mazda truck belongs
to Randy Earl Parker, 103 Cameron Dr.
William Danny Clampett, 313
Scotland Dr., reported theft of a
Pioneer car radio, amplifiers, vehicle
speakers, a radio face cover and CDs
valued at nearly $2800 from vehicles
parked at his residence.
Joseph Brock, 903 Crescent Circle,
reported that his 1994 blue Mustang
was damaged by someone using a
blunt object.
Stephanie Nicole Hamrick,
Blacksburg, SC, reported theft of a
pocketbook containing bank cards and
a small amount of currency from her
car parked at the Community Center.
The front windshield of the 1991
Nissan was damaged.
First-Citizens Bank reported that a
customer forged three checks and ob-
tained $1900.
Lewis Ricky Detter, 205 Cranford
Dr., reported that his dog and another
dog were fighting through the fence on
Cranford Street and his dog sustained
injured to his face near the eye.
Daryl Davis, 220 Hilltop Circle,.
Gastonia, reported that another mo-
torist opened a car door and damaged
his 1994 Mazda in he parking lot of
Winn-Dixie.
Gregory Alan Ruppe, 1400
Northwoods, reported that his Pontiac
Transam was scratched while parked at
Kings Mountain High School.
Childers Heating and Cooling, 309
Cansler St., reported that a window
was broken out in the business.
Larry Louis Moore, 808 Phillips Dr.,
reported that a window was broken out
at his residence.
Police recovered one Visa Gold card.
The owner may claim and identify at
the police department.
Stephen Darren Greene, 611 Floyd St.,
reported theft of a pistol from the
glove compartment of his car.
WRECKS
JANUARY 19
Sgt. Bob Myers cited Tomarcie
Alston Clark, 23, for failing to see be-
fore turning from a direct line safely
after a two-car wreck at Walker and
Cansler Streets. Myers said the Clark
1995 Ford SW struck a 1993 Ford SW
operated by Sandra Jackson Etters, 910
Sharon Dr. Two people were reportedly
hurt but no ambulance was required.
The vehicles were damaged $7000.
Pil. J. H. Tessneer said that two ve-
hicles hit on Cleveland Avenue when a
van apparently turning left into
Hardees was sticking out in the lane of
traffic.
William Gary Grigg, 173 E. A.
Bingham Rd., was driving a 1983 Ford
which struck a 1995 Oldsmobile oper-
ated by Cynthia Carpenter, 653 Bell
Rd. The Carpenter vehicle was dam-
aged $500.
JANUARY 20
Ptl. P. A. Berry said that a 1987
Oldsmobile operated by Nettie Reep
Hope, 616 Mauney Ave., backed into
a 1990 Buick operated by Travis Lee
White, Mountdin View Road, in the
Harris-Teeter parking lot. Damages
were estimated at $25 to the Hope ve-
hicle and $1500 to the White vehicle.
Ptl. Wayne Carpenter said that a
1984 Chevrolet truck operated by
Henry Dockery, 403 E. King St., struck
a 1989 Oldsmobile operated by
Carolyn Watkins Sexton, of Gastonia.
Damages were estimated at $350. The
accident happened on East King Street.
JANUARY 21
Ptl. Andy Berry said that a 1991
Ford SW operated by Susan Harper
Roche, Cramerton, struck a 1990

JANUARY 24
Pil. J. H. Tessneer said that a 1993
Ford Van operated by Ray McKay
Hardee, 823 Applegate Court,
Gastonia, hydroplaned on the Highway
74 Bypass in heavy rain. The vehicle
went off the right side of the road and
hit a guardrail, spinning and striking
the guardrail with the right quarter pan-

el, shot across the road and hit another
guardrail on the south side in the West
bound lane. The driver escaped injury
and was not charged. No other vehicles |
were involved. The vehicle was dam-
aged $3000 and the two guard rails
were damaged $500.
Ptl. Andy Berry charged Steve
Edward Reynolds Jr. with DWI, driv-
ing while license revoked and hit and
run and no insurance after a wreck on
Chestnut Street. The officer said he
was responding to a hit and run proper-
ty damage on Chestnut Street and a
witness gave a description that
matched a vehicle the officer spotted at
the Handy Pantry on Cleveland
Avenue. Berry said that Reynolds said
his car hit a fence. The Reynolds 1983
Ford was damaged $900. A fence
owned by Viola Myers, 407 Chestnut
St., was damaged $400. ;
