THE KINGS MOUNTAIN HERALD ‘Head Start program still has openings The Cleveland County Head Start program still has student and parent positions available for the Kenan program. The program is designed for both children and their parents who are eligible for the Head Start program. Each parent enrolled in the Kenan program will have the op- portunity to improve skills in basic academics while at the same time earning high school credits for a GED through Cleveland Community College while their child is enrolled in Head Start. June 27, 1996 The program will give priority to children who are four on or before October 16, with low to moderate income and at least one parent who wishes to work toward a GED who will be committed to the program and will attend on a daily basis. For additional information or for an application, contact the Cleveland County Head Start office at 734-5660.
