KATHERINE ARROWOOD Katherine Hayes Arrowood, 59, 234 Bowlin Road, Bessemer City, died July 15, 1996 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Rives Plato and Ola Clary Hayes. She was the wife of the late Elmer Gene Arrowood. She was employed by the Salvation Army in Shelby, and was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church, Cherryville. She is survived by her sons, David Arrowood and wife Kim of Bessemer City, and Danny Arrowood and wife Angie of Shelby; daughter, Kay Stroup and husband Vernon of Kings Mountain; brothers, Voyd Hayes of Kings Mountain and Edward Hayes of Cherryville; sisters, Carolyn Kiser and Ruth Bowen of Kings Mountain; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted by the Revs. Larry McAllister and Buster Griffin Thursday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church. Burial will be in Shady Grove Baptist Church cemetery. Miller, 64, 434 El Bethel Road, Kings Mountain, died July 10, 1996 at Cleveland Regional Hospital. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Ronald Miller and the late Ruth Gladden McRay. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict, and was a member of the American Legion. He was employed as a welder. y He is survived by his sons, Ronald C. Miller and Robert Miller of Kings Mountain; daughters, Kim Miller Moore and Lou Miller Mauney of Kings Mountain; and seven grandchildren. A memorial service was con- ducted by the Rev. Rudolph Lemmons Friday at 7 p.m. at Harris Memorial Chapel. HELEN HARRIS Helen Brown Harris, 73, 603 Lee Street, Kings Mountain, died July 13, 1996 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. A native of Gaston County, she was the daughter of the late Grace Barlow Brown and the late Grady Brown. She was a re- tired textile worker. She is survived by her son, Frank E. Harris of Kissimmee, FL; daughters, Grace Mae Redmon and Brenda Faye Harris of Charlotte, and Patsy Parker of Kings Mountain; brother, Roy Brown of Fayetteville; sister, Thelma Brown Townsend of Gastonia; grandchildren, Danny Ray Redmon, Billy Ray Redmon, Michael Redmon, Teddy and Lynn Haney, and Lisa and Holly Parker; and 16 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Billie Aloma Harris; and brother, Bobby Brown. The funeral was conducted by the Rev. J.R. Robbins Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Greene Funeral Service Southside Chapel. Burial was in Hollywood Cemetery.
