Located at 212 S. Main St. in Stanley, The Woodshed has been a fixture for the past 11 years. Companies for miles around bring their employees here for parties, and civic organizations sometimes meet and eat at The Woodshed. Bill Withers, a former mayor of Stanley, is the owner and manager of The Woodshed. Besides the beef menu, The Woodshed has one of the finest salad bars around, with fresh vegetables daily. A specialty of the house is a mouth-watering tomato and onion sandwich. A wide variety of homemade desserts are prepared daily on the premises. Diners in these parts are fortunate, because there are two T-Bones at their dis- posal. T-Bones on the Lake is lo- cated on Lake Wylie adja- cent to Buster Boyd Bridge, and T-Bones Steakhouse and Saloon is located in Franklin Square Shopping Center in Gastonia. Both restaurants are ar- ranged in a Texas-style de- cor, and both have a well- deserved reputation for serving excellent food. Steaks and ribs are cooked Texas-style on a flat-top grill, providing a pleasant aroma which never fails to whet the appetite. The Lake location also has a pasta and seafood menu. Both restaurants serve a mouth watering array of fresh vegetables and a vari- ety of desserts. Mixed drinks, beer and wine are available to enhance the meal. The lake facility is acces- sible by auto or boat. There are plenty of berths for those who would like to come to dinner via the water, and casual dress is welcomed.
