D, died Sunday, July 21, 19% at her resi- dence. - €: She was a patie of Kings Mountain and wife of the late John Wiley Clay. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and Circle #4. She was retired from Modern Metal Products Co. She is survived by her son, Thomas S. Clay and his wife, Sue Ellen, of Wayne, PA; daugh- ters and sons-in-law, Martha Clay Safarian and Theodore Michael Safarian of Reidsville, and Karen Clay Van Buren and Ronald S. Van Buren of Greensboro; eight grandchil- dren, Dana Michelle Clay, John Douglas Clay, Deborah Ellen Clay, Thomas Scott Clay Jr., Erika Leigh Safarian, Theodore Michael Safarian Jr.,, Kathryn Lane Van Buren and Thomas Clay Van Buren; and sister, Sue Laughter of Kings Mountain. KAY RANDLE GROVER - Kay Camp Randle, 43, 1057 Cleveland Avenue, died July 22, 1996 at the Wendover Hospice Facility in Shelby. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Mills Hunter "Bill" and Elma Sanders Camp. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was employed by Randle Brothers in Kings Mountain. She is survived by her hus- band, Larry Randle of Grover; son, Cathen Randle of Grover; daughter, Kerry Randle Hamilton of Hampton, VA; brother, Norris Camp of Blacksburg, SC; sister, Billie Ann Boheler of Grover; and one grandchild. The funeral was conducted by..the Rev. John Bridges Wednesday at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church. Burial was in Grover Cemetery. She was a member of Good” Hope Presbyterian Church where she served in the Missionary, the Choir, was a Ruling Elder, and a teacher in the tutorial program. She is survived by her hus- band, Lloyd E. Brown of Kings Mountain; sons Sidney E. Brown and Peter L. Brown of Kings Mountain; daughter, Patricia J. A native of Newberry County, SC, he was the son of the late Frank H. and Connie Maddox McConnell. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Bessemer City, where he was a former deacon and active Senior Adult Sunday School Director. He was former Sunday School teacher and Brotherhood Director at Second Baptist Church, Laurens, SC. He was a charter member and past Chairman of the Board of Chestnut Ridge Volunteer Fire Department, Vice President oand Chairman of the Nationwide Post Polio Support Group, and a former Little League baseball coach and Bessemer City All-Star coach. He was an honor graduate of Newberry College, Newberry, SC, and was retired Shipping and Receiving Supervisor of Wells Manufacturing.
