WS Obituaries THE KINGS MOUNTAIN HERALD DENNIS HUFFSTETLER Dennis Huffstetler, 45, 770 Chestnut Ridge Church Road, Kings Mountain, died August 8, 1996 at Kings Mountain Hospital. A native of Gaston County, he was the. son ‘of Viola Dellinger Huffstetler of Lincolnton and the late Flay Huffstetler. He was employed as an automobile mechanic. In addition to his mother, he Ga is survived by his wife, Angela Allen Huffstetler; two sons, Rusty Huffstetler and Dennis Huffstetler of Kings Mountain; a grandson, Dustin Allen Huffstetler; step- granddaughter, Tesa Brook Russeil; three brothers, Ernest Huffstetler of Kings Mountain, Floyd Huffstetler of Mount Holly and Michael Eugene Huffstetler of Lincolnton; five sisters, Alta Mae Hardin, Melvine Parton and Martha Young, all of Bessemer City, Brenda Irven of Shelby and Betty Jean Husky of Lincolnton. The funeral was conducted by the Revs. Kenneth Cash and Harold Ervin Saturday, August 10 at 4 p.m. at Harris Memorial Chapel. Burial was in Mountain Rest Cemetery. JOHN J. LOGAN John Junior Logan, 69, 137 Dixon School Road, Kings Mountain, died Saturday, August 17, 1996 at Cleveland County Hospice. A native of Cherokee County, he was the son of the late Esau and Ruth Logan and was mar- ried to the late Edna Ree Petty Logan. He is survived by his son, John Larry Logan of Blacksburg, SC; daughters, Loretta Waddell .and Linda Logan Kilgore of Shelby and Louise Fullenwider of Newark, NJ; 13 grandchildren, 14 great- grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The funeral will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. at St. Peter Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. J.W. Gill and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrange- ments. ROGER WIGGINTON SR. GASTONIA - Roger Lee Wigginton Sr., 74, 208 S. Weldon St., died August 18, 1996 at his residence. A native of Mercer, Ky., he was the son of the late Clyde O. and Carrie Bell Wimp machinist. Lauderdale, Fla., Barbara Jean Moore of Hollywood, Fla., Joyce Game of Palatka, Fla., Debbie Edenfield of Apopka, Fla., Vanessa Wigginton of North Belmont; brother, Forrest Wigginton of Cooper City, Fla.; sisters, Dorothy Wigginton of Davie, Fla., and Betty Jean Biddle of Royal Palm Beach, Fla.; 19 grandchildren, and a number of great-grandchildren. The funeral was conducted by the Rev. Gene Ware Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Harris Memorial Chapel, Kings Mountain. Interment was in Pisgah ARP Church Cemetery, Gastonia. SAMUEL MURRAY Samuel William "Sam Murray, 64, 1329 Eastview Street, Ext., Shelby, died August 17, 1996 at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late George and Georgie Ann Holland Murray. He was a re- tired Service Manager at Tedder Motor Co., and was formerly employed as Purchasing Agent at Dover Mill He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, and was a member of Dover Baptist Church, the V.EW. and the D.A.V. He is survived by his wife, Janelle Gault Murray; daugh- ters, Carolyn Ann Stevanus and husband Jay of Huntersville, and Jo Collins and husband Roger of Lebanon, NH; broth- ers, Lloyd Murray of Grover and Clifford Murray of Kings Mountain; half-brother, Oscar Murray of Bostic; sisters, Irene Segers of Forest City, Alma Long of Morristown, TN; half- sister, Bessie Carpenter of Dana, Fla.; grandchildren, Chris 4 . HUGH DOVER Hugh Lowery Dover, 83, 205 Long Branch Road, Kings Mountain, died August 15, 1995 at his residence. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Robert M. and Rebecca Lowery Dover, and husband of the late Lexie Herndon Dover. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Jason Dover, and two brothers, James Brady Dover and Robert M. Dover Jr. He was a retired textile em- ployee and farmer, and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Grover, where he was a former deacon. He is survived by his sons, Paul H. Dover and Troy Dover of Kings Mountain; two grand- children, Ashley Dover and Tyson Dover; brothers, Carl T. Dover and William T. Dover of Shelby; and sister, Ruby Dover Ponder of Waycross, Ga. The funeral was conducted by the Rev. Michael Butzberger Saturday at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Interment was in the church cemetery.
