JASPER WILSON, JR.
Jasper Eugene Wilson, Jr., 72,
of 302 E. Washington Ave., died
Saturday, October 19, 1996, at
Gaston Memorial Hospital.
A native of Gaston County, he
was the son of the late Jasper E.
and Annie Lee Strange Wilson.
He is preceded in death by his
grandson, Christopher Robert
Beaver. He was employed at
Reeves Brothers, Osage Plant in
Bessemer City.
He is survived by his wife,
Margaret Myers Wilson of the
home; one son, David Keith
Wilson of St. Louis, Mo.; two
daughters, Karen A. Mathis of
Lowell and Rhonda D. Wilson
of Gastonia; one brother, Harry
D. Wilson of Kings Mountain;
and one granddaughter, Susan
Elaine Wilson of Gastonia.
Funeral services were con-
ducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday,
October 23, 1996. Rev. David
Livingstone, Jr. officiated the
ceremony. Burial was in
Westview Gardens.

DeAudleen Gold, 107 South
Shelby Street, died October 17,
1996 at Upstate Carolina
Medical Center in Gaffney, SC.
A native of Blacksburg, she
was the daughter of the late D:-
Audley and Pearl Cline Gold.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her sister,
Pauline G. Bridges of Lawndale;
and brother, Dan A. Gold Jr. of
Blacksburg, SC.
A graveside service was con-
ducted by the Rev. David Rowe
Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mountain
View Cemetery in Blacksburg.

KIM WHITE
BLACKSBURG, SC - Kim
Canipe White, 33, died
Wednesday, October 16, 1996 at
Spartanburg Regional Medical
Center.
* "A native of Shelby, she was
the wife of Craig White and the
daughter of Claude of Shirley
Canipe of Shelby. She was a
member of Oak Grove Baptist
Church, Blacksburg.
She is also survived by her
son, David White of the home;
brother, Clifton Canipe of Kings
Mountain; sisters, Cindy C.
Barlow of Kinston and Pam C.
Ware of Shelby. She was preced-
ed in death by her brother,
Donnie Canipe.
The funeral was conducted
by the Revs. Grady Gregory
and Norman Philbeck Saturday
at 11 a.m. at Oak Grove Baptist
Church. Burial was in the
church cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jackie
McCurry, Michael McCurry,
Gene Neal, Michael Martin,
Danny Ray, Zippy Batchler,
Steve Martin, and Bobby
Yarborough.

Mrs. Nora Arrowood Camp,
88, 101 Lemmonwood Lane,
Grover, died October 19, 1996 at
the Hospice facility at
Wendover.
‘A native of Gaston County,
she was the daughter of the late
Fate and Zanie Nantz
Arrowood and wife of the late J.
Lester Camp, She was a home-
maker and retired employee of
Lily Mill. She was a member of
Patterson Springs Baptist
Church where she was a
Sunday School teacher in the
Childrens Department. She was
a former member of the Audrey
Roberson Mission Group and
Triple L Club, all at Patterson
Springs Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sister,
Mrs. Tommie (J) Barnette of
Kings Mountain; half-sister,
Lana Arrowood of Kings
Mountain; step-mother, Madge
Arrowood of Kings Mountain;
and a number of nieces and
nephews.
The funeral was conducted
by the Revs. Steve Waters and
Dale Clark Tuesday at 2 p.m. at
Patterson Springs Baptist
Church. Burial was in the
church cemetery.

W. Carlie Parrish, 78, 1201
Ridgemont Avenue, Shelby,
died Saturday, October 19, 1996
at his home.
A native of Lumberton, he
was the son of the late John .
Franklin and Mary Elizabeth
Craven Parrish. He was a U.S.
Army veteran of World War II
and was retired from J.P.
Stevens. He was also preceded
in death by his sister, Colleen
Stubbs.
He is survived by his wife,
Ella Mae Grant Parrish; step-
daughters, Patricia Wright and
Sondra Burns of Kings
Mountain and Suzanne Ivie of
Shelby; and stepgrandchildren,
Melissa Ivie of Charlotte,
Jennifer Ivie McSwain of
Jacksonville, Travis Ivie of
Shelby, Steven Wright Jr.,
Joshua Paul Worthy and Crystal
Burns of Kings Mountain, and
Johnny Burns Jr. of Charlotte.

Rosa Mae Widener Mitchell,
67, 358 Dallas-Spencer
Mountain Road, Gastonia, died
October 15, 1996 at her home.
A native of Gaston County,
she was the daughter of the late
Albert C. Widener and wife of
the late Eugene M. Mitchell. She
was employed at Talon as a
packing inspector and was for-
mer co-owner of Mitchell's
Paint and Body Shop of Kings
Mountain.
She is survived by her son
and daughter-in-law, Ronnie
and Teresa Mitchell of Gastonia;
daughter, Darlene Mitchell of
the home; mother, Ella Parton
Widener of Gastonia; brother
and sister-in-law, James and
Nell Widener of Gastonia; sis-
ters and brothers-in-law, Chris
and Jack Lamb, Carolyn and
James Leophard, all of
Gastonia; and two grandchil-
dren, Jason and Lori Mitchell of
Gastonia.
The funeral was conducted
by Dr. James Ellis Friday at 11
a.m. at Harvest Baptist Church,
Bessemer City. Burial was in
Long Creek Baptist Church
Cemetery, Dallas.

Stanop Howard Anthony, 87,
108 Midway Lake Road, Kings
Mountain, died Sunday,
October 13, 1996 at Cleveland
Regional Medical Center in
Shelby.
A native of Cleveland
County, he was the son of the
late Arthur and Addie Anthony.
He was retired from Minette
Mills, Grover, and was a mem-
ber of Elizabeth Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by
his first wife, Elvia Stroup
Anthony.
He is survived by his wife,
Minnie Belle Crawford
Anthony; sons, Charles B.
Anthony of St. George, Utah
and Kenneth "Tony" Anthony of
Charlotte; daughters, Shirley
Ann Anthony of Grover and
Jessie May Anthony of
Blacksburg, SC; sisters, Astor

New business to open

Queen will cut the ribbon at
Artistic Creations/Printing, a
new business on Main Street,
Friday at noon.
Wendy Harry Regans will op-
erate the business which will in-
clude desk top publishing, im-
printing of Bibles, napkins,
matchbooks, pencils, etc. and
monogramming of shirts and
hats and assorted items.
The firm will also offer rub-
ber stamps, business cards and
seals, among other items.
Mrs. Regans, wife of Gordon
Regans, decided to open her
own business after staying at
home to teach her son, Erik, 9,
at home school. Eric entered
Grover Elementary School this
year. Daughter, Ashley, 2, will
accompany her mother to work
every day .
The Regans invite the public
to see the renovated offices in
the burgundy building beside
of Kaye and Cindy's Beauty
Salon.
Revival to begin
at Allen Memorial
Revival will be held October
27-31 at Allen Memorial Baptist
Church, Long Branch Road,
Grover.
Services are at 11 a.m. Sunday
and 7 p.m. nightly. There will be
special singing and a nursery
will be provided.
Guest speaker is Jerry Welch
from Casar.
Morrow reunion set
at KM Depot Center
The Morrow reunion will be
held Sunday, October 27 from 1-
4 p.m. at the Kings Mountain
Depot.
Family and friends of the late
Frank and Nola Morrow are in-
vited.
