Page 4B I a SUES THE KINGS MOUNTAIN HERALD Kings Mountain Police Report January 9, 1997 Watson jailed on rape charges Roger Dale Watson, 48, of 307 Silver St., was jailed under $150, 000 secured bond on December 27 and charged with first degree statutory rape. Det. Bobby Steen of the Cleveland County Sheriff's Department said more charges are pending. Steen said Watson is accused of raping a 14-year-old girl. Steen, the investigating and ar- resting officer, said the arrest of Watson follows a six-year investi- gation. Sgt. Maurice Jamerson and Ptl. Larry Ware assisted in serving the warrant. $500 reward offered in Bullock vandalism John Bullock, owner of Bullock Industries Inc., 405 Margrace Road, is offering a $500 reward for infor- mation leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) respon- sible for vandalism to his 1974 Ford truck over the New Year's holidays. According to Bullock, sometime between December 30 and January 2 someone threw brick through all of the truck's windows, slashed all four tires, smashed a mirror and bent in the panel on the passenger side door. He said they also attempted to break into a tool box on the truck bed and damaged it. Total damage to the truck, which was parked in front of the building, was over $1,000, according to Bullock. Bullock said anyone with infor- mation should call Lt. Houston. Corn at the Kings Mountain Police Department (734-0444). Gaston St., DWI, simple possession of marijuana and no child seat belt. Philip Allen Fisher, 33, 802 Southwoods, show cause on arrest order, $500 bond. - Sidney E. Brown, 28, 25 Georgetown, assault on a female, $500 bond, secured. Douglas Leroy Wade, 38, 2846 Gail St., Gastonia, communicating threats and assault on a female. Barbara Jones Doster, 28, 614 S. Railroad Ave., assault, domestic vi- olence. Douglas Lee Stoll, 40, 100 N. Dilling St., felony possession of co- caine, $1,000 bond, secured. Pamela Jane Miller, 38, 900 First + }- St., two counts, worthless checks, $600 bond, secured. Paul Dean Gann, 39, 307 N. Gaston St., criminal summons, fail- ure to keep child in school. Kerry Wayne Owens, 32, 128 N. City St, communicating threats, $120 bond, secured. John Herbert Cohey, 48, Hartsville, SC, felonious larceny and driving while license revoked, $11,000 bond, secured. Cohey is charged in connection with the al- leged theft of a vehicle from the Harris-Teeter parking lot. Rodger Dale Accord, 48, Hickory, worthless checks, nine counts. Aron Johnson Jr., 35, 217-B Osborne St., Shelby, DWI and driv- ing while license revoked, $500 bond. Tina Dopp Barber, 29, 1018 N. Piedmont Ave., felonious posses- sion of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and show cause on an arrest order, $2500 bond, secured Rodney Twitty, 28, 214 Thornburg Dr., failure to appear, $1000 bond, secured. CITATIONS Priscilla Smith Adams, 48, 200 Lake Montonia Rd., driving after revocation. Stephen McDaniel Marlowe Jr. 21, 803 Hillside Dr., running a stop light. Paresh Kumur Kentilal Patel, 28, 108 Fulton Dr., driving after revoca- tion and displaying an expired reg- istration. Carl Lewis Hutchins, 36, Cindy Lane, no inspection sticker. James Frederick Lynch Jr., 37, 1220 9th St. SW, Mussilon, Ohio, no operator's license. Michael Wayne Clinton, 33, 2925 Crescent Lane, Gastonia, speeding and no operator's license. CODAP won't coordinate 1997 Project Graduation +/ The Community Organization for Drug Abuse Prevention (CODAP) has an- nounced that it will not coordi- nate this year's Project Graduation event. According to James H. Hines Jr. of CODAP, information pro- vided to the CODAP Board of Directors by the voluntary com- munity-wide steering commit- tee indicated attendance figures continue to decline, volunteer support and funding has de- clined, CODAP has downsize by three staff members, and the three Cleveland County school 45, Gastonia, Kazoko Yasaki, Brian J. Odums, 18, 103 Pennant Dr.; Clarence Sharpe Jr, 47, 102 Lois Lane; Donald R. & Jpaptan 24, 111 Conners Dr. 2; Marsha Marcella Wilson 31, Shelby; Randall Dougan, 47, Bessemer City; and Roxanna Crane, 27, 103 Quincey Lane, speeding. Kings Mountain Jewelry & Loan, 512 E King St., reported damage to a sky light during an attempted break-in. Patty Reynolds, 245 Claudette Dr., Gastonia, reported that her purse was snatched at Pine Manor parking lot. Kings Mountain District Schools, E Ridge St., reported a bomb threat on December 27. Ina Strickland, 309 N. Gaston St., reported that the right side mirror on her car was broken off. Susan Anne Smith, Drum Rd., Shelby, reported that the front windshield of her car was damaged by someone throwing rocks on Morris Street. Karen Roberts, 51 Pine Manor, reported that her kitchen window was broken out. Glenda Saltzmann, 527 Baker St., reported unauthorized use of her 1985 Ford Escort. Libbratte Twitty, 214 Thornburg Dr., reported theft of her VCR and a video game. Tim Price, 400 S. Cansler St., re- ported theft of a jewelry box and assorted jewelry. Donald E. Long, 218 Thornburg Dr., reported that he was bit by a dog while walking in the roadway near North School. Sonja Welsh, 206-A S. Cansler St., reported theft of a 1990 Plymouth valued at $6,000. Robin Camp Goins, 101 Wade Dr., reported theft of currency, driver's license and a cigarette case from his car. Chasity Susan Holland, 707 W. Gold St., reported that the wind- shield of her car was cracked. Dogwood Shoppe, 303 E. King St., reported damage to two lights. Tracy Allen, 40 Pine Manor, re- ported theft of a blue jean jacket and keys. Time Warner Cable, Gastonia, re- ported theft of a stealth meter from the passenger side of a van at Rick's Ole Country Store. Cerina Sheuller, 31 Pine Manor, reported larceny of a VCR and TV set from her residence. WRECKS DEC. 27 A 1996 Chevrolet operated by Cathy Haynes, 603 Linwood Rd., struck a privacy fence that sepa- rates the parking lots at Silver Express and owned by Hardees. The car was damaged $700 and the fence was damaged $150. JAN. 1 Cars operated by Barbara Sullens, Shelby, and Lori Henderson, of Grover, hit at the traffic light at King Street and Balogroums Avenue doing a total of $1300 damage.
