Page 2A EVELYN PRITCHARD CHARLOTTE - Evelyn Deese Pritchard, 66, died January 6, 1997 at Presbyterian Hospital. A native of Pageland, SC, she was the daughter of the late Clyde David and Annie Mae Mical Deese, and wife of the late Hugh Monroe Pritchard who died in 1969. She had been a resident of Charlotte for over 50 years and for the: past several years had lived in Booth Gardens. She was retired from 3 Delmar Studios. ~~ She is survived by for chil- dren, Danny Pritchard and Rodney Pritchard of Charlotte, Cathey Noell of Kings Mountain, Sandra Schipman and Gaye Barger of Charlotte, Sam Pritchard of Denver and Rebecca Privette of Wilmington; sister, Joann Ramsey of Mint Hill; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The funeral will be conducted by Dr. Reid Keiger at 11 a.m. Thursday at New Hope Baptist Church, 7841 Idlewild Road. Interment will be in Charlotte Memorial Gardens. MARETT KINGS MOUNTAIN - Clyde Heller Marett, 82, 105 Fox Fire Lane, died Thursday, January 2, 1997 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby. A native of Ocanee County, SC, he was the son of the late Jefferson and Cora Marett. He was a retired U.S. Navy military security officer. He is survived by his wife, Madge McSwain Marett; sons and daughters-in-law, Basil Jefferson Marett Sr. and Judy Marett of Belmont, and LeRoy Wilson and Jan Wilson of Kings Mountain; sister, Icie Hightower; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The funeral was conducted by the Rev. Carrol Lindsey Sunday at 3 p.m. at Greene Funeral Service Westside Chapel. A native of Lynn, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Henry Sheehan. She was a re- tired Phlebotomist and a mem- ber of David Baptist Church, Kings Mountain. She is survived by her son, Jon Eric Shechan of Grover; mother, Esther Fudge Sheehan of Mocksville; and brothers, Paul Sheehan of South Paris, Maine, and John Sheehan of Mocksville. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late G.C. and Emma Pearl Porter Hord, and wife of the late Benjamin P. Causby. She was retired from Patterson's Florist and was a member of New Camp Creek Baptist Church. A native of Lattimore, he was the son of the late Nallie Joseph and Annette Hawkins Fite. His first wife was the late Doris Melton Fite and his second wife was Fannie Hux Fite of Roanoke Rapids. He was a retired dairy farmer and previously worked with Southern Railroad. He was a member of Lattimore Baptist Church. He was a musician, horse trainer, and a member of the American Dairymen's Association. He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Steven Fite; and his brother, George Fite.
