BRANDON EDWARD BINGHAM (Micki Nicole Black) Black-Bingham First Baptist Church was the setting December 28, 1996 for the wedding of Micki Nicole Black and Brandon Edward Bingham. Dr. John W. Sloan Jr. officiated the ceremony for which Laura Bell and Roger Hollifield, vocal- ists, and Jason Hollifield, guitarist, presented the nuptial music. The bride was given in marriage by her par- ents. She wore a formal gown of Candlelight raw silk featuring a sequined and pearl Sweetheart neckline and open Veed back. The Jasmine Original had a full skirt which swept into a Chapel-length train. She carried a bouquet of miniature white Calla lilies, miniature white ros- es, freesia and ivy. Laura Bell was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Chastity Barger, Jan Eaker and Suzanne Stroupe, all of Cherryville, Michelle D'Angelo and Cecilia Henderson, both of Kings Mountain, Amy Stuka of Waxhaw and Lesa Sullivan of Charlotte. All the attendants wore red off-shoulder floor- length gowns and carried long-stemmed Calla lilies. Megan Blanton of Kings Mountain was flower girl. Matthew Ritch of Kings Mountain was ring- bearer. Junior bridesmaids were Laura Black of Gastonia and Sunshine Johnson of Lawndale. He is a 1991 graduate of Cherryville High School and a 1995 graduate of North Carolina State University in Raleigh with a degree in Business Management. JAMES DALE ELLSPERMANN (Catherine Anne Bailey) Bailey-Ellspermann First United Methodist Church in Arlington, Texas was the setting for the Saturday wedding uniting Catherine Anne Bailey and James Dale Ellspermann. The Rev. Ann Stevens officiated the ceremony for which Mrs. Ellen Black McCurdy Elam of Kings Mountain, grandmother of the bride, was organist. The bride's father gave her in marriage. The bride wore a formal gown of ivory silk with a full veil and carried a bouquet of fresh flowers. Ellen Bailey of Newton, Mass., sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Angela Ellspermann of Ocala, Florida, sister of the bridegroom; Jennifer Baxt of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Shannon McKnight of Boca Raton, Florida; and Nichole Burton of Raleigh. All the attendants wore long, red formals de- signed along A lines and carried bouquets of white roses. PERCY AND BETTY LYNN ...celebrate 50th wedding anniversary Lynns honored January 11 on their Golden Wedding Day . Percy and Betty Herndon Lynn celebrated their golden wedding anniversary January 12. They were married on January 11, 1947 in York, South Carolina. An anniversary reception was hosted at Bethlehem Baptist Church by their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The Lynns have four children, Sandi Shields, Ginger Hall, Buddy Lynn and David Lynn. Their nine grandchildren are Trent Rhea, Tiffany Stinnett, Bergen Hall, Leah Hall, Sheldon Lynn, Jessica Lynn, Sara Lynn, Mary Catherine Lynn and Kevin Lynn. They also have two great-grand- children Kaylin Rhea and Addison Stinnett. Longtime residents of the Westover Community, Mrs. Lynn is retired from Anvil Knitwear and Mr. Lynn is retired from Fiber Industries.
