chopped spinach, thawed and
well drained
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup chopped green
onions
1/4 cup chopped parsley
1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. freshly ground pep-
per
In a medium bowl, combine
spinach, mayonnaise, sour
cream, green onions, parsley,
lemon juice, salt and pepper.
Mix until well blended.
Refrigerate 2 hours or up to 2
days. Serve with raw vegetables
or chips. Makes about 3 cups.
ONE DISH MEAL

1 medium bell pepper,
chopped
1/2 cup thinly sliced celery,
optional
2 Tbsp. oil
1 cup elbow macaroni, un-
cooked
1 pt. tomatoes with juice
1 cup sour cream
salt and pepper to taste
Combine first five ingredients
in skillet and cook until meat is
browned. Add remaining ingre-
dients. Cover and cook for 10
minutes. Remove lid and cook
an additional 10 minutes.
RAW APPLE CAKE

11/2 cup cooking oil
2 cups sugar
3 cups plain flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
3 cups apples, peeled an
chopped finely :
1 cup pecans or walnuts,
chopped
Combine all ingredients in or-
der listed, mixing until well
blended. Bake in greased and
floured tube cake pan at 325 de-
grees for 1 hour or until done.
FRIED SWEET POTATOES

2 to 3 large sweet potatoes,
peeled and sliced
1 stick margarine
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup water
Combine all ingredients in
electric fry pan and cook at
about 350 degrees until pota-
toes are tender and juice is

1 can condensed tomato soup
1/2 cup water
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

6 to 8 small whole potatoes or

1 medium onion, sliced, op-
tional
Brown chops in large skillet.
Pour off excess fat. Add remain-
ing ingredients. Cover and sim-
mer 45 minutes or until tender.

1 cup margarine, softened
3 cups sugar
6 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup sour cream
2 cups peaches, peeled and
chopped
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease and flour a 10-inch tube
pan. In large bowl, cream mar-
garine and sugar until light and
fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time.
Beat well after each egg. Stir in
vanilla and almond extracts. In
small bowl, combine flour, salt
and soda. Add to creamed mix-
ture. Fold in sour cream and
peaches. Pour batter into pre-
pared pan. Bake 75 to 85 min-
utes or until toothpick inserted
in center comes out clean.
