He was a carpenter and served in the United States Army for three years and in the United States Air Force for three years. February 20, 1997 | Obituaries | JOE DUNCAN WILMINGTON - Joe Duncan died January 31, 1997 at his home in Wilmington from a heart attack. He was born January 28, 1933 in Taylorsville and was a former resident of Cherryville and Kings Mountain. He had lived in Wilmington for 28 years. He was a member of Derita Masonic Lodge #715 in Charlotte, a Shriner in the York Rites, and a member of the Sudan Temple in Wilmington. Survivors are his wife, Anais Greene Duncan; daughter, Cindy D. Lea and husband Burt; son, Scott Duncan and wife Donna; and grandchildren, Art and Katie Lea, all of Wilmington.
