The Morehead Inn in Charlotte was the setting
for the March 8 wedding uniting Adella Marie
Robertson and Jason Michael Habel.
Rev. John Futterer, pastor of First Lutheran
Church in Albemarle, officiated the ceremony.
Curious George Music Company preanged the
nuptial music.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
The bride's gown of white satin was appliqued
~ with pale pink roses. The full dress was designed
with off-shoulder neckline. A Camelot cap held
her fingertip veil of bridal illusion. She carried a
bouquet of pale pink roses.
Aimme Robertson Coleman of Kings Mountain
was her sister's matron of honor. Wendy
Deninger and Nancy Rednour, both of Kings
Mountain, were bridesmaids.
All the attendants wore long maroon sheath
gowns designed with cape sleeves. They carried
bouquets of pink and white tulips.
Jennifer Lineberger was flower girl and Tanner
Deninger was ringbearer. Both are of Kings
Mountain.
Bill Habel, brother of the bridegroom, was best
man.
Eric Habel, brother of the bridegroom, and
Chad Barnes ushered. Both are of Gastonia.
The bride's parents hosted the reception after
| the ceremony at Morehead Inn.

sdinner March 7 at Frankes Italian-Grill in
. Charlotte.
After a wedding trip to Charleston, SC, the
newlyweds live in Charlotte until May when
' they will move to Raleigh.
The bride is the daughter of Mr and Mrs.
Larry Chappell of Kings Mountain and Mr. and
| Mrs. Ken Robertson of California. She is a 1991
graduate of Kings Mountain High School and
© will graduate in May from the University of
North Carolina at Charlotte with a bachelor's de-
gree in nursing.
_ The bridegroom is the son of Linda and James
Habel of Gastonia. He is a 1991 graduate of
Ashbrook High School and a 1995 graduate of the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with
a B.S. degree in Biology. He will attend North
Carolina State Veterinary School in the fall.
Ladies brayer brunch
set at KM First Baptist
The prayer committee of the
~ Kings Mountain Impact Jay
Strack Crusade has scheduled a
special prayer brunch for the
ladies of the Cleveland and
Gaston County areas April 19
from 9-11 a.m. in the fellowship
hall of First Baptist Church in
- Kings Mountain.
The event will feature special
music, testimonies, teaching on
prayer and testimony by the
Rev. Jim Church, Pastor of Faith
United Methodist Church,
Gastonia. Rev. Church will tell
about the impact that a Jay
Strack had on the youth of a
- church he served.
The brunch, which is facilitat-
‘ed by the Rev. Patricia Stone of
Grace United Methodist
Church, Kings Mountain, will
also have special times of
prayer for the crusade effort,
the communities represented,
and for those the crusade com-
mittee is trying to reach.
Danish, fruit, and coffee or
juice will be served. There is no
charge, but persons planning to
attend are urged to call the cru-
sade office at 730-0120 from 10

Mrs. Dennis Edward Anderson Sr., all of
Danville. She is a graduate of the University of
North Carolina at Charlotte with a B.S. degree in
Criminal Justice. Miss Anderson is employed
with the State of North Carolina Child Support
Agency.
The bridegroom-to-be is the grandson of Mr.
and Mrs. John Lee McCluney and Mr. and Mrs.
Forrest Peeler, all of Shelby. He is the owner of
A&E Cleaning Inc. of Charlotte.
The wedding is planned for May 3 at RiverOak
Church of God in Danville, Virginia.

The deadline for B section news such as wed-
dings, engagements, birthdays, club news, an-
niversaries, reunions, school news, church news,
etc., is 12 noon Monday. On weeks when the pub-
lishing date is changed due to a holiday, the
deadline is 12 noon Friday.
Items received after the deadline will be pub-
lished in the A section if time and space permit;
otherwise, they will be withheld until the next
week.
There is no charge for articles, however there is
a $10 preparation fee for engagement, wedding,
anniversary and birthday pictures. Wedding, en-
gagement and anniversary pictures should be 4 x
5 black and white or high quality color. Birthday
pictures should be 2 x 3 black and white or high
quality color. Polaroid pictures will not be accept-
ed.
