A native of Statesboro, Ga., she was the daughter of the late L.A. and Lillian Hunter McLaurin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard S. Lennon Sr. She was a member of First J Presbyterian Church. She was a graduate of Queens College, Charlotte, and received her Masters Degree from Winthrop College in Rock Hill, SC. She taught at Kings Mountain,Gastonia, Red Springs, and South Carolina schools. She was an environ- mentalist and a long-time bird watcher with the Audubon Society. She is survived by her son, Richard S. Lennon Jr. of LaPlata, Md.; daughter, Sara Rose Lennon of Dallas, Texas; and a sister, Jean. McCoy of Greensboro.
