Rev. Clinton A. Feemster, pastor, invites the public. CLUB the American scene with such force that it has eclipsed Arbor Day in popularity. Earth Day is trendy but Arbor Day is tradi- tional. Ries states that "we should take more care to cele- brate Arbor Day and promote the importance of trees." Timely tips were given by Mrs. Eugene Roberts. This is a good time to trim Crepe Myrtle and cut off all the old blooms. Monkey grass should be trimmed. Feed lilac bushes with lime. Dogwood trees should be fertilized in March. Mrs. Tom Trott, Conservation chairman, announced that two pink crepe myrtles will be planted on the back lot behind McGinnis. Department Store to help with civic beautification. The pretty flower arrange- ment, "As You Like It," consist- ed of daffodils, forsythia and Breath of Spring. Door prizes were won by Mrs. McGinnis and Dot Ham.
