A native of Polk County, he was the son of the late John Baxter and Leatha Ruff Jackson. He was a retired mechanic. He is survived by his wife, - Priscilla Shull Jackson of Ellenboro; sons, Hubert E. "Eddie" Jackson of Thomaston, GA, Cecil Ray Jackson and William David Jackson of Clover, 5C, ‘and: Jerry Lee Jackson of Debarry, FL; daugh- ters, Barbara Barnette of Kings Mountain, Cathy P. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Worth and Blanche Cogdell McKee and wife of the late Samuel J.D. McNeely. She was a homemaker and a mem- ber of Temple Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons, Larry ‘McNeely of Gastonia, Mark «Steve McNeely of Gastonia, and Dennis Ray McNeely of Hiddenite; daugh- ter, Jurriel Turner Brudette of Westminister, SC; sisters, Shirley Davis of Lawndale and Mozelle Jackson of Houston, TX; 20 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. DOVER Fort Mill, S.C. - Mary Rushing Dover, 91, formerly of Bessemer City, died June 30, 1998 at White Oak Manor in Rock Hill, S.C. A native of Mecklenburg County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late James W. Rushing and the late Ella Braswell Rushing. She was the wife of the late Lucious Reid Dover. Mrs. Dover was retired from J. P. Stevens Co. of Bessemer City where she was employed in textiles. She was a member of First Wesleyan Church, Bessemer City. She is survived by a son, Forrest Dover of Rock Hill, SC; and two daughters, Virginia Farris of Fort Mill, SC and Rachael Capps of Pensacola, FL. Frank Moore, 81, 317 Oak Grove Road, died July 11, 1998 at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late James Madison and Dovie Adams Moore. He was also pre- ceded in death by his first wife, Rachael Christine Roberts; and his sister, Eva Moore Wilson. He was a retired machinist and farmer and was a member of Patterson, Grove Baptist Church where he was, former Music Director and Youth Music Director. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Short Moore of Kings Mountain; daughters and sons- in-law, Linda and Don Dixon and Carolyn and Richard Parsley, all of Kings Mountain, and Sandra and Mike Bumgarner of Ft. Stewart, GA; brothers, Edwin Moore of Kings Mountain and Joe Moore of Sicklerville, NJ; and grandchil- dren, Keith Dixon, Tommy Parsley and John Parsley, all of Kings Mountain, and Kyle Bumgarner and Kirk Bumgarner of Ft. Stewart, GA. The funeral was conducted by the Rev. Terry Bird at 3 p.m. Monday at Patterson Grove Baptist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery.
