The driver for G&P Trucking of Charlotte was treated at Gaston Memorial Hospital, according to officers on the scene. WRECKS AUG.6 A 1993 Ford operated by Torie Lee Woodward, 818 1/2 Margrace Rd., struck a 1987 Accura in the rear at a stoplight on S. Battleground Avenue causing a chain reaction. The Accura hit a 1995 Plymouth operated by Kenneth Steven Fence, Clover, SC. Damages totaled $900. 1g Bana (AUG AW: 30 ~~ =A 1983- Ford rtiuck operated by Josh Conrad and owned by the City of Kings Mountain backed into the dumpster on the grounds of the city public works department do- ing $300 damage to the vehicle. A 1992 Nissan operated by Thongkhoune Novaney, 538 Waco Rd., struck a 1990 Toyota operated by Gunita Johnson Gardner, 312 S. Cansler St, on S. Battleground Avenue. Gardner and a passenger were treated at the Foon hospital emergency room. AUG. 8 Both drivers claimed the green light in a bump-up at the intersec- tion of West Gold Street and S. Battleground Avenue. Cars operat- ed by Beatrice Johnson, Cherryville, and Juanita Steffy, 206 S. Gaston St., were damaged $800. Second suspect charged in Grover The Cleveland County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Vice and COP Division made a sec- ond arrest Tuesday following a search warrant executed at 2534 Blacksburg Road near Grover on August 7. Deborah Moss Phillips, 27, of 2534 Blacksburg Rd., was charged at 7 p.m. with traffick- ing in Dilaudid, felonious pos- session of marijuana with intent to sell and deliver, maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of storage, sale and/or delivery, and possession of drug para- phernalia. Michael Shane Jackson was arrested at the same address August 7 on similar charges. Phillips was jailed at the Cleveland County Detention Center in lieu of bond. The search warrant resulted from an investigation conducted by Det. Ron Creech that began from a vehicle stop that resulted in the seizure of marijuana from two area juve- niles, according to Lt. Billy Benton. After interviewing the juveniles, Benton said the search warrant was obtained for the residence. : Jackson was arrested follow- ing a search of his residence and after complaints from parents of juveniles. Det. Ron Creech and Det. Robert Archie stopped two juvenile suspects who allegedly had marijuana on their person and were in the process of de- livering the drug to two more juveniles. : Two juveniles will be charged on juvenile petitions.
