running team, and Paroli has

ago, junior tailback C.J.
Harcwick who gained 1,502
yards and scored 15 touch-

Massey said the
Mountaineers will use this
scrimmage to look at some
players they are trying at more
than one position. He said he'll
probably do the same Friday
night, August 21 when the
Mountaineers travel to Gaffney
to compete against Gaffney and
Dorman.
"We are trying to put some
people in the right position, and
we'll evaluate where some kids
will help us the most," he said.
"We got a little bit of a look at
them Saturday night. We'll
probably look at some kids at
two positions up until our last
scrimmage, and then decide
where we're going to put them."

batters to end the game.
In the state tournament, the
KM nine lost to Louisburg 4-3,
beat Lumberton 10-3 and
Reigewood 14-5, and lost to
Whiteville 15-14.
“I just think we as a team ran
out of gas that last game,” said
Coach Hope. “It was the team’s
worst game in tournament play.
This team accomplished a lot
this year and they will be back
next year. I would like to thank
some people for their help - all
coaches, players, parents,
grandparents and step-parents.
