centuated with lace appliques and edged with
pearls. Her fingertip veil was attached to a fitted
headpiece and she carried a bouquet of white ros-
es, Calla lilies and Stargazer lilies.
Gwen Winchester of Kings Mountain was her
sister's matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Sarah
‘Bunch, sister of the bridegroom; Lynne
McDonald of Bessemer City, Sarah Owen of
Greensboro, Amy Reid of Virginia Beach, VA and
Tara Steinhardt of High Point.
All the attendants wore tea-length periwinkle
blue dresses with chiffon overlays and tied-back
bows. They carried baskets of mixed summer
flowers.
Autumn Martin and Laura Hollingsworth,
both of Greensboro, were child attendants.
The bridegroom's father was best man.
Ushers were Kenneth Bunch, Philip Bunch Jr,
Johnny Bunch, Jr., Jason Tignor, all of Kings
Mountain, and Chris Ballard of Harodsburg, KY.
The bride's mother and stepfather hosted the
reception after the ceremony in the church fellow-

The bride is the daughter of Hal and Carolyn
Falls of Gastonia and Glenn and Vickie Hicks of
Kings Mountain. She is a 1993 graduate of Kings
Mountain High School and a 1998 graduate of the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with
a degree in pharmacy. She is employed as a phar-
macist by CVS/Revco. She is the granddaughter
of Sidney Hicks of Kings Mountain and the late
Reba Hicks, Mrs. Beulah Jones of Kings Mountain
and the late John Jones and Robert Ware of King
Mountain and the late Pauline Ware.
Philip and Dianne Bunch of Kings Mountain
are parents of the bridegroom who is the grand-
son of Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Bunch of Kings
Mountain and Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Stuhrke of
Whiting, NJ. He is a 1991 graduate of King
Mountain High School and a 1995 graduate of the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with
a B.S. degree in Biology. He is a Second
Lieutenant in the United States Army. §
After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tn., the
newlyweds will reside in Fort Irwin, California.

was matron of honor and Lydia Rhiannon
Anthony, of Kings Mountain, cousin of the bride,
was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Robyn
Lynnette Durham of Chapel Hill, Michal
Bonnilyn Parker and Christina Ridgeway Roller,
both of Greenville, SC, and Heather Mireya
Shuping of Marietta, Ga.
All the attendants wore sleeveless formal
gowns of seafoam satin designed by Watters and
Watters. The gowns featured a rounded neckline
and a fitted empire bodice with accented cording.
The princess style gowns fell softly to the floor.
The attendants carried bouquets of cream roses
hand-tied with a cream ribbon.
Rebekah Clare Anthony, of Kings Mountain,
cousin of the bride, was the flower girl. She wore

Chicago, Illinois. The bridegroom and his atten-
dants wore traditional black tuxedos designed by
Perry Ellis.
Tina Hughes Bolin of Kings Mountain, Candice
Elizabeth Goodson of Lawrenceville, Ga. and
Lesia Hughes Wilson of Kings Mountain, all
cousins of the bride, and Christa Joann Bailey of
Alexandria, Va., attended the guest registers.

The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Willie and
Janie Watkins of Charlotte and is a 1988 graduate
of Harding University High School, where he
was a member of the Orchestra. He also attended
Central Piedmont Community College and is the

The bride's parents hosted the reception after
the ceremony the Schiele Museum of Natural
History and Planetarium in Gastonie. Greeters
were Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Kimsey Stinchcomb
Jr. Servers included Betty Ruth Biddix, Betty
Biddix Hughes, Angel Elizabeth Jolly, Kathryn
Elizabeth Petticord and Bleeka Goforth. The re-
ception register attendant was Kimberly Brooke
Haven Stinchcomb. Music was provided by Wade
Elliot of Charlotte.
The bridegroom's parents hosted the rehearsal
dinner August 14 at Satterfield's Restaurant in
Shelby.
Mr. and Mrs. James David Biddix of Kings
Mountain are parents of the bride, granddaugh-
ter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ross Biddix and the
late Rev. and Mrs. Clyde Goodson. She is an hon-
or graduate of Kings Mountain High School and
a magna cum laude graduate of Furman
University in Greenville, SC with a Bachelor of
Arts degree in History and. Political Science. At
Furman, she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa
and Delta Gamma Sorority.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Johnny Herbert Justus of Grundy, Virginia and
the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edgar
Lester and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Wesley
Justus. He is an honor graduate of Grundy Senior
High School and a summa cum laude graduate of
The College of William and Mary in
Williamsburg, Va. with a B.S. degree in Chemistry
and Government. At William and Mary, he was a
member of Phi Beta Kappa and captain of the de-
bate team. He is currently a second year law stu-
dent at the Harvard Law School in Cambridge,
Massachusetts.
The newlyweds have returned from a wedding
trip to Hilton Head and Charleston, South
Carolina and Savannah, Ga. and are residing in
Cambridge, Massachusetts.
