Page 2A Obituaries The Kings Mountain Herald BILL NEISLER KINGS MOUNTAIN - Charles E. "Bill" Neisler III, 73, 403 Crescent Hill Road, died September 7, 1998 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Charles Eugene Neisler Jr. and the late Myrtle Baker Neisler. He was a retired horse breeder, member of First Presbyterian Church, Quarter Horse Association of U.S.A. charter member of the New Mexico Historical Society, mem- ber of The Cowboy Hall of Fame, and supported numerous Kings Mountain civic and chari- table organizations. He is survived by his aunts, Grace Neisler Page of Kings Mountain and Pauline Neisler Brewer of Cary, NC; and nu- merous cousins. A graveside service was con- ducted by Dr. Richard Newsome at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mountain Rest Cemetery. He formerly worked at Shelby Supply Company and was retired as a salesman with Northwestern Piping Supply of Lenoir. He ‘was a member of Westview Baptist Church and Shelby Masonic Lodge #744. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Blanton Neason of the home; son and daughter-in-law, William Doyle and Cindy Neason of Boiling Springs; daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Mark Dixon of Kings Mountain; grandchildren, Jennifer Thompson of Okinawa, Japan, Michael and Kimberly Neason of Boiling Springs, and Will Dixon of Kings Mountain; great-grandchild, Alyssa Thompson of Okinawa, Japan; brothers, Robert Stevens of Spring Hill, La. and Johnny Neason of Eudora, Ark.; and fa- ther and mother-in-law, Shannon and Nancy Blanton of Shelby. She was retired as a spinner at Minette Mills and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Matthew celebrated his birth- day at McDonalds Playland on Saturday, Aug. 22 with friends and family. CALEB STRANGE Caleb Strange Caleb Strange, son of Lance and Cathy Strange of Shelby, turned 3 years old on August 31. He celebrated August 15 with a party at his church. Thomas the Tank was the theme of the day. The room was decorated with balloons and Thomas the Tank party favors. The kids enjoyed pigs in a blan- ket, peanut butter and jelly, and cheese sandwiches. For desert, Caleb and friends enjoyed a train cake and cookies with ice cream.
