ROSE’ TURNER ® KM Librarian AR books at library Attention students! The new accelerated reading books have arrived at Mauney Memorial Library and are ready to be circulated. Nine hundred beautiful, clean, fresh brightly- colored books have been added to the collection. If you've been on the waiting eelisty for six “menths ‘for the "Voyages of Doctor Dolittle, you need not wait any longer. You should be able t find it on the shelves and begin your travels with the famous doctor imme- diately. Accelerated’ reading has be- come a large part of the school's - program. Mauney Library is de- lighted to work with schools in the ‘district to provide high quality reading material and to promote reading among school children. Each year we are pleased that more and more students are discovering the joy of reading and expanding their experiences through books. The new books range in grade level from first grade through'middle school, and cover a variety of interests and reading levels. Books from cach school's list were added to the collection. Although most of the new books are fiction, there are also a large number of nonfic- tion. Biographies and books about the states-are especially popular and titles in these sub- ject areas have been added to the collection. Accelerated reading books are heavily used by students. Many books wear out each year and many are lost or not re- turned. These books tend to be the most popular titles and the ones students ask for most fre- quently. Most of these books have been replaced and multi- ple copies of the most popular titles have been added. This is the beginning of an exciting school ycar. With the additional titles and a wider se- lection of books available, stu- dents will be able to find some- thing of interest on their reading level. Joy ROOF STAINS! DO NOT POWER WASH YOUR ROOF!
